The next entry of the Diablo franchise is almost here, and the excitement gets bigger and bigger with each passing day. While some still have a sour taste from Diablo Immortal, most players hope that Diablo 4 will make things better for the series. This time, there are many changes that are coming to the game. There are some features from previous titles coming and new things for players to experience. One of the biggest questions that the community has pertains to classes. As you know, in the past, some have been restricted to specific genders limiting options. Well, if you are wondering if classes are gender-locked in Diablo 4, we have the answer here.

Which classes in Diablo 4 are gender-locked?

The short answer is none. This time and for the first time in a main Diablo entry, classes won’t be gender-locked. This is fantastic as this opens up a lot of customization options and finally lets players choose whichever class they prefer. In the past, if you wanted to play a Demon Hunter as a male character, you couldn’t. Now, Diablo 4 is offering the option to choose both genders for all classes. This is a step in the right direction that we think Blizzard took too long to implement. With the closed beta starting tomorrow, many are happy about the ability to choose any class without worrying about a gender lock.

If you haven’t, you can still get access to the closed beta for Diablo 4. All you have to do is pre-order the game which works more of an early access period rather than a beta. Still, it is a nice idea to try the game before the official release and help ironing any bugs or glitches that might arise. The beta won’t feature all the classes just yet but you’ll be able to experience the beginning of the game. If you want to play all the classes though, there’s an open beta coming in a few weeks and you don’t need to buy the game for that. So, now that we know that classes in Diablo 4 aren’t gender-locked, that’s a huge point in favor of the game and we’re getting more excited to play it.
