The Sims 4 Growing Together brings many new possibilities. For instance, you can throw a baby shower, delighting your sims for the upcoming arrival. But that’s not all you can enjoy. Do you remember having sleepovers as a child? Or maybe you never got to enjoy one? Either way, you can live out your dreams in the expansion as you can host your own sleepover. We’ll show you what you need to do to throw a slumber party in The Sims 4 and what goals you should accomplish during it.
How to Throw a Slumber Party in The Sims 4
You don’t have to use mods anymore to host a slumber party. Now, Growing Together presents ‘Slumber Party’ among the new events you can do. It sits alongside ‘Baby Shower’ and ‘Family Reunion.’
First, let’s make something clear: a child can host a slumber party. However, in The Sims 4, a child cannot throw the slumber party by themselves. So, you’ll have to leave the planning up to a teenager or older sim.
Follow the steps below to get going with your sleepover:
- Open the “Social” tab under your phone
- Select “Plan Social Event” at the bottom
- Under “Start an Event,” select “Slumber Party” for 240 simoleons
Select your host for the event and invite your guests. You must have at least 2 sims, but there is a small max of 8 sims allowed to be invited.
Now, we’ve laid the foundation for you to throw a slumber party in The Sims 4. All that’s left to do is to have the party.
You can set aside a specific area in the house for the party for more immersion. Set up a gaming table, TV, and stereo for dancing. You don’t have to make any food because you can always select a playable sim and task them to “Get Slumber Party Snacks.” A pizza is automatically added to their inventory to set out.
Slumber Party Rewards in The Sims 4
Sleepovers are all about having fun with friends. But in The Sims 4, you’ll want to pay attention to some of the goals if you decide you want this to be a goaled event. If so, you can earn some cool rewards at the end of the party.
Check out the challenges you’re asked to complete once you throw a slumber party in The Sims 4:
- Get Some Sleep
- Dance to Music
- Tell Stories on a Sleeping Bag
- Have Sims Watch TV at the Same Time
- Carry Out a Sleeping Bag Prank
- Have Sims Chatting at the Same Time
Some of these challenges count if you do them once. Others may want you to do it twice or more.
You don’t have to set out sleeping bags. Simply task someone to set them out, and they’ll immediately lay out the right number of sleeping bags for everyone at the slumber party. Some challenges rely on sleeping bags. For instance, for the sleeping bag prank, one of your guests must already be asleep.
