If you thought the original Resident Evil 4 game was dangerous, you’re not prepared for the remake. We’re just kidding. The latest Resident Evil games have added a mechanic that is a lifesaver. The ability to do a quick turn in these games isn’t new, but it is something that we sometimes forget about. In the first games, we couldn’t do it. Controlling Chris or Jill was hard enough already due to the enclosed spaces and tanky movement. However, Capcom took note of this and started changing. Now, Resident Evil 4 Remake gives you the option to do a quick turn, and here we’ll tell you how to do it. No need to run in circles anymore to escape the villagers. Your safety is just one button press away!

How to quick turn in Resident Evil 4 Remake

To do a quick turn in Resident Evil 4 Remake, you’ll need to find the right input depending on your platform. For consoles, it is quite similar, and for PC is as simple as pressing one key. Here’s how to do it on all platforms:

  • Consoles:
    • Press the run key (R1/LB) and hold the down d-pad key
  • PC
    • Press the Q key

Yes, it is that simple. All you have to do is learn that combination, and you’ll be able to perform a quick turn in the game. We recommend that you practice a lot, as endgame enemies will require you to be quick on your feet if you want to keep Leon and Ashley alive.

While this is an option that was already in the original game, the remake brings many more things for players to do. If you want to take a quieter approach, you can stealth kill enemies. Doing so is the fastest way to take out some foes, but you might end up using your knife. We recommend this as a last resort or if there are few enemies around. Whatever approach you choose, the game gives players the freedom to fight enemies as they see fit. So, now that you know how to quick turn in Resident Evil 4 Remake, practice before fighting, and you’ll be great during the whole game.
