Want to know where to find and use Small Keys in Resident Evil 4 Remake? While story quests, boss fights, and puzzle solving are integral gameplay, the game is full of side content. If you want to get an S+ Rank, you shouldn’t think about side quests, but if you’re playing for fun, you should collect some treasures and sell them to the Merchant. The best Treasures are in the chest caches, which you will need Small Keys to open. There are very few, so progress through the Resident Evil 4 Remake story, you can get a limited number of Small Keys, but we’ll help you find them all.

Where to Find Small Keys in Resident Evil 4 Remake

First of all, it is worth noting that you can find only eight Small Keys as you progress through the game. Often these keys are in cases, or cabinets, so you don’t have to break every barrel or box to find the Small Key. However, we will make your gameplay even easier and tell you about all the locations where you can find Small Keys in Resident Evil 4 Remake:

  • Valley Small Key (Chapter 2). Shortly after the start of the Second Chapter, you will travel to the Valley. Go to the southeastern part of the location and look into a small house with boarded-up windows on the outskirts. On one of the shelves next to the window, you will notice an open case where you can pick up your first Small Key.
  • Village Chief’s Manor Small Key (Chapter 2). Go to the Village Chief’s Manor and explore the house. Go to the farthest part of the house on the ground floor and take the Small Key from the nightstand between the window and the sofa.
  • Fish Farm Small Key (Chapter 3). After reaching the Third Chapter, visit the Fish Farm location and the old house in the southwest corner. Enter the house and look at the table for another Small Key.
  • Forest Altar Small Key (Chapter 4). After reaching the Fourth Chapter and progressing through the story, you will find yourself in the Forest Altar location. Go to the western part of the location, go up the stairs, and pick up the Small Key on the small cart.

  • Grand Hall Small Key (Chapter 9). While exploring the corridors and rooms of the medieval castle in the Ninth Chapter, you will find yourself in the Grand Hall and can pick up the Small Key on the nightstand in the northwest corner.
  • Ballroom Small Key (Chapter 12). Visit the small room north of the Ballroom and collect the final Small Key from the small round table.

As we said, you don’t have to collect Small Keys to complete the game’s story. But we highly recommend finding at least a few if you want to earn extra money. After all, you will find eight closed chests with valuable treasures inside. To open the chest, you only need to interact with it, select and use the Small Key, and take the Treasure.
