The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is bound to be one of the year’s biggest games, if not the best. Looking at the world, the gameplay, and the story will let you know this title is one for the ages. Yet, what is great about this game is the creativity it enables players to have while playing it. While that is great, you should try things differently. If that is the case and you want to know if you can have multiple save files in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, here we’ll tell you all about it.

The short answer is no. Sadly, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom does not allow multiple save files. We can understand why Nintendo has done this with many of its games, but some players might want to have a different file to try something else. With the enormous scope of the game, it is only normal for players to try and do things differently. You might want to approach a place at a different angle or fight a boss with a different mechanic. Multiple save files for Zelda Tears of the Kingdom would be great in this case.

Does Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Have Choices?

Having multiple save files for games with multiple choices is excellent, but that is not the case for this game. The choices in this game come down to a gameplay perspective. As mentioned above, this title gives players much freedom to do whatever they want. Here, the choices rely on choosing an approach to combat and exploration. While it’d be great to have a different save file to try something different, Nintendo hasn’t given us the option.

It is uncertain if the option will become available, but it’ll be a great feature. For players who want multiple save files in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, your best option is to create another account. You can make a new profile on your Nintendo Switch and start the game from scratch. While it might take some time, it is a nice option to replay the game without deleting your original file.

That’s all we have regarding multiple save files in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. If you want to start the game again, you can do that or create a new account to avoid losing your progress. In any case, you’ll have a lot of time to play this game, which brings a lot of things to do and discover.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now available on Nintendo Switch.
