Money doesn’t rain in the real world, and it doesn’t rain in the world of Hyrule, but there are a few reliable ways to farm Rupees in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Rupees are the main currency in the Zelda franchise and are exchanged for better armor, weapons, and other valuable items from shops that make Link the best and strongest fighter in all of Hyrule. When you start the game, Link is stripped of everything, from abilities, weapons, and Rupees, and it is essential to make money fast. This guide will show you how to farm Rupees in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

There are a few best ways to farm Rupees in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom:

  • Selling Items
  • Fulfilling Side Quests
  • Attack Blupees (bright blue rabbit-like critters lurking around Hyrlue)

Probably the best way to farm Rupees fast and plenty in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is to sell items you don’t need. For this, you can visit Mubs, one of the first shops you will come across in Hyrule. You can sell everything you don’t need, but gems have the best price. You can farm gems in underground locations in Hyrule, such as caves, chasms, wells, and tunnels. Ore deposits will glow in these areas, so strike them a couple of times and collect the secret stash of gems. Some of the gems you can find include:

  • Ruby
  • Sapphire
  • Topaz
  • Diamond
  • Flint
  • Luminous Stone
  • Opal
  • Rock Salt

You can sell these at Mubs or Ramella, a Gerudo merchant in Goron City. Besides gems, you can also sell weapons you don’t need, raw meat from animals you have slain, cooked food, or an elixir you don’t need currently.

Another way to farm Rupees in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is to help NPCs. A few NPCs will be in need of Link’s help, and for your efforts, there offer a certain amount of Rupees as a reward. One such quest will be to help Addision, north of Lookout Landing, to keep President Hudson’s sign upright.

If you are in need of a few Rupees to buy some armor, you can always be on the lookout for Blupees. These cute bunnies have found their way to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and are again ready to help Link without their knowing. Once you spot a Blupee, you need to be very careful not to scare it off. Unhook an arrow or two at these funny bunnies and collect the prize. The number of Rupees they give away can be quite substantial at times but can help a lot when feeling stuck.

These are just some of the best ways to farm Rupees in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but you can always look under the rocks and hope for a few Rupees to collect.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
