Exploring each location in Tears of the Kingdom, you will find many quests. In the case of the Gloom-Borne Illness side quest, you need to go to Kakariko Village and visit the Enchanted shop. Next to the shop, you can find Lasli.

Talk with this girl to find out about her grandmother’s illness. She can’t eat anything but porridge, and besides, she won’t get better. Therefore, Lasli will ask you to cook a porridge that works on gloom sickness from several of Grandma’s favorite ingredients. After this dialogue, you will start the Gloom-Borne Illness side quest.

At first glance, it may seem that you only need to cook porridge to complete the quest. However, you also need to find an anti-gloom ingredient. To complete the Gloom-Borne Illness quest faster, you can use this recipe:

  • Hylian Rice – You can buy it from the East Wind General Goods store.
  • Fresh Milk – You can also buy it from the East Wind general store.
  • Sundelion – You can find it on the sky islands.

Combine the Sundelion, Fresh Milk, and Hylian Rice and cook up Sunny Veggie Porridge on a stove near Lasli. Then return to Lasli with the dish to complete the Gloom-Borne Illness quest in Tears of the Kingdom. After the dialogue, you will be rewarded with a discount at the Enchanted Shop and Energizing Veggie Porridge.
