If you’re tired of slipping on climbable surfaces, the Froggy Armor set is what you need. When it’s raining, you’ve no doubt noticed that climbing becomes a whole lot harder. Thanks to Froggy Armor’s slip resistance, you’ll no longer have that problem. The only issue is that Froggy Armor isn’t at a set location; it’s a set that you can only get through a set number of quests. Doing these quests awards you with the pieces one by one, starting with the Sleeve, then the Leggings, followed finally by the Hood. In this article, we’ll explain how to get the Froggy Hood in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
How To Find The Froggy Hood in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To get the Froggy Hood in Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to complete a series of quests. After completing four stable quests, you’ll receive the Froggy Sleeve. After completing nine, you’ll get the Froggy Leggings. And after these final few, you’ll have the Froggy Hood after completing a total of 12 quests throughout the stables of Hyrule. You don’t need to complete these quests in any particular order. Any stable will do because each stable has a quest related to it.
The only detail worth mentioning is that you can’t get the pieces out of order. In other words, you’ll always receive the Froggy Sleeve before the Hood. If you haven’t gotten the Sleeve or Leggings yet, consider visiting our guides to learn more about how to get those. Below we have a suggested path for how to get the Froggy Hood in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom as quickly as you can.

Tabantha Bridge Stable
To find the Tabantha Bridge Stable, just go to Hyrule Ridge, near Tabantha Frontier. There Penn will explain that someone’s group of white goats has gone missing from the stable. The owner of the goats, Chork, tells you that Princess Zelda gave him a recipe for some good goat food but that he has since forgotten it. In the recipe, Zelda calls for Hylian Pine Cones. Coincidentally, leading away from the stable area are those same Pine Cones. Follow the trail to find the goats.
Foothill Stable
At Foothill Stable, you’ll find your next quest. This is the second to last quest you’ll need to complete in order to get the Froggy Hood in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The Foothill Stable is east of the Woodland Stable, just on the other side of Eldin Canyon. Once there, find Penn again and talk to him. He’ll be talking to little birds.
Around the stable, you may notice that all the men at the stable are only in their underwear. When you talk to Penn, he’ll find this strange as well. Eventually, you figure out that, apparently, Zelda told them to do this. Unrelated to this imposter incident, the men will mention that a few of their group went up to a northern monster den and have not returned since.
North of the stable, you will find a monster cave. The cave itself is near the road’s end, so it’s hard to miss it. Men will be standing around the entrance, wearing nothing but their undergarments. Once you enter the cave, a trial similar to Proving Ground will activate, stripping Link down to nothing.
In the cave, there will be Bokoblins and a Black Moblin. Do what you can to defeat the enemies, using whatever you can find as a weapon, as well as Ultrahand. Once you defeat all the enemies in the cave, you can retrieve Link’s gear. From there, find Penn and claim your reward.
South Akkala Stable
The final quest you need to complete in order to get the Froggy Hood in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is in South Akkala Stable. You’ll find Penn in the goat pen. He’ll tell Link about a Cucco that has the power of foresight. After telling this to Link, he’ll mark a tree ahead and instruct Link to investigate the strange phenomenon. The Cucco is standing on a tree stump and can be talked to.
The Cucco will give out short missions for Link to accomplish in succession. The first is to get to the top of the stable within a short time. The second is to bring three logs back to the Cucco within a short time. The third is to get fooled into talking to the Cucco. For the last part of that mission, you’ll discover that the Cucco is a Yiga. He will summon two more Yiga beside him, which you need to defeat. Once defeated, go to Penn to claim your final reward: the Froggy Hood.
