There is definitely a unique relationship between players and Koroks in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. These little wooden creatures are hidden all over the place, and there are just as many here as there were in Breath of the Wild. Whether you are reuniting Korok friends or doing one of the many other puzzles you find in the open world, there is much to remember. With that said, what should you do if you see a Korok stump on the ceiling? These objects obviously look like they do not belong where they are, but what is the deal? Here is how to complete Korok ceiling stumps in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

What to do when you see a Korok stump on the ceiling in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

If you are going through a cave in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and see what looks like a tree stump on the ceiling, that is actually a Korok puzzle. They are basic upside-down tree stumps with leave patterns on them to help make them stand out. It might be tough to see these, considering that they can have a similar color scheme to the ceiling they are attached to. It might be even harder to see them at night, but you might have glanced at it and tried shooting an arrow or something to no success.

The solution to completing these Korok tree stump puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom is to use Ascend under them. You need to travel through the stump and get to the top of the cave. When you pop out the other side and press to exit the Ascend ability, the Korok will appear and reward you with the Korok seed. From there, go on with the rest of your journey.

Given how some Korok puzzles seem to be well-hidden, the tree stumps shouldn’t take you too long compared to others to complete now that you know their solution. From what we have seen, there are no other objects blocking them, but there is potential for that to happen in some settings.
