Are you looking to collect Brightcap mushrooms inย The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?ย These mushrooms are easy enough to find in Hyrule, but finding them can be useful in crafting meals that can be used to explore the Depths. Brightcaps take full advantage of the new features inย Tears of the Kingdom, leading players to explore caves, wells, and the Depths. If you’re unsure how to find Brightcap mushrooms, this guide will explain where to find them.

How to Get Brightcaps in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In Tears of the Kingdom, Brightcap mushrooms can most easily be found in the caves and wells across Hyrule. Caves can usually be found near cliffs and mountains, while wells are usually found in or near stables or villages. Brightcap mushrooms can normally be found in any cave or well, no matter where you are in Hyrule. There’s even a specific Brightcap Cave not far from Rito Village that you explore during the “Cave Mushrooms That Glow” side quest, but it’s unclear if that cave has any more Brightcaps than any other. Once you get inside a cave, you can usually find Brightcap mushrooms on the walls or floor. They grow similarly to Rushrooms, and you can usually collect them by jumping or climbing the ones beyond your reach.

After you’ve collected Brightcap mushrooms, you can use them in cooking to create meals that have a Glow effect. A new feature toย Tears of the Kingdom, the glow effect lights up the area immediately around Link, allowing you to explore areas in the Depths without using Brightbloom seeds or going through the trouble of finding the Miner Set. The glow effect is also included in Glowing Cave Fish – combining glow-effect ingredients will result in the effect of the meal or elixir lasting longer.
