Prepare your wallets because the Steam Summer Sale is coming.
Valve typically keeps the dates of the gargantuan sales very quiet, but leaks may have revealed when more than a few games will get discounts on the popular PC store. The rumors first started circulating on Reddit, stating that the sales would begin June 23, 2016.
The rumors were later confirmed on Twitter by Paypal. While it may seem like a strange source to confirm the sales date, at least we know when we can spend our heard earned money on dozens and dozens of dirt-cheap games.
If you aren’t familiar with the Steam seasonal sales, let us get you caught up. Throughout the year, Steam holds massive sales for several days, discounting thousands of titles big and small. The entire Storefront is redesigned for the events, making it easier than ever for PC gamers to sort through the titles they want to add to their libraries.
We don’t know what specific games will get their prices slashed, but we don’t have long until we can find out for ourselves. Steam’s standard sales include daily and middle of the week sales. But Steam Sales discard this model, instead listing every title at its lowest possible price for the entire sale.
