With the release of a Genshin Impact 4.0 character trailer, the hype for the Fontaine region is skyrocketing. In the trailer, HoYoverse showed players a whole new cast of characters that will play major roles in Fontaine. With a dark yet fantastical atmosphere and fascinating character designs, Genshin’s Fontaine region is off to a great start. Currently, besides what the trailer explains, fans know very little about these new characters. However, many or all of them should be playable sometime shortly. Therefore, if players find any of the characters intriguing, they should start saving Primogems and Mora. Here are arguably the best new Genshin Impact Fontaine characters to begin grinding for.
5. Lynette
First up, Lynnette is one of Genshin Impact’s characters hailing from Fontaine and one of two characters to appear as an early representative of the region early in the game. Working alongside her brother, Lyney, Lynette is a magician’s assistant and the complete opposite of her brother. As a character, she isn’t one for the limelight, though she is still a talented performer. So far, it has been revealed that she will possess an Anemo Vision on the official Genshin Twitter. Despite this, her weapon and rarity have yet to be revealed. Many have predicted her to be a 4-star character, but this should be taken with a grain of salt. Ultimately, Lynette has a great design, and she and her brother will undoubtedly be stand-out characters in Genshin’s Fontaine region.
4. Lyney
Next up is Lynnette’s brother, Lyney, the other Fontaine character shown way back during Genshin‘s beginnings. Whereas Lynette is the assistant of the duo, Lyney functions more as the lead magician. He is one of the greatest performers in Teyvat and is known as the Stage Magician of the Court of Fontaine. Additionally, players have spotted a Pyro Vision on Lyney, confirming that Lynnette uses Pyro. On top of this, many players have assumed that Lyney’s status as the lead magician means he is a 5-star character. Suppose Lynette is a 4-star character releasing with Lyney. In that case, players should still pull for the Genshin Impact Fontaine magic character duo.
3. Navia
Although players have known about the last duo for a while, Navia is one of the new characters revealed in Genshin Impact’s newest trailer, The Overture Teaser: The Final Feast. In the trailer, Navia was shown in an interesting gold and black dress, perfectly fitting into the Fontaine region. Additionally, she can use a large umbrella as a wind glider. Whether it is a new type of glider that players can use is unknown. However, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted a Vision clasped to Navia’s left shoulder, confirming that she will be a Geo character. Any player looking for a new Geo character throughout Genshin Imapact’s Fontaine region should keep an eye on Navia.
2. Neuvillette
Next is Neuvillette, another character revealed in Genshin Impact’s Overture Teaser: The Final Feast trailer. Working as the current Chief Justice of Fontaine, this Genshin Impact character works closely with the Hydro Archon. Since the region follows the ideal of justice, this is a significant position overall. Hints of the character have been talked about earlier in the game, though this is the first time we have seen their design. Sporting an extremely ornate outfit, Neuvillette has an appearance that fits his position. Sadly, any more information, including weapons and elements, has not been revealed or spotted yet. Hopefully, Neuvillete will be an important character of the Fontaine region, meaning he will be present heavily in Genshin Impact 4.0.
1. Clorinde
Finally, Clorinde is yet another character revealed in The Overture Teaser: The Final Feast trailer. Besides having an amazing design overall, Clorinde is shown with a very interesting weapon. In the trailer, she is shown wielding a handgun. Although some speculate that the handgun will be added as a new weapon, the gun will most likely be incorporated into her kit. On top of this, Clorinde is also shown alongside Neuvillette, meaning the two are connected in some unspecified way. Plus, she is shown with an Electro Vision clasped to her neck, meaning she wields Electro. Hopefully, Clorinde will release soon into Genshin Impact’s Fontaine patch, giving players a chance to obtain the character.
