To face the enemies of Terraria, you will have to bring the best of the best weapons and gear to the battle, with the Meteor Staff being a great example. Like the Daedalus Stormbow, the Meteor Staff will drop projectiles from the sky to smash your enemy. Prepare yourself since getting a Meteor Staff will have you visit several biomes across the game. However, you will certainly have this weapon as one of your favorites. Here is how to get the Meteor Staff in Terraria.

How to Craft the Meteor Staff in Terraria

The only way to get the Meteor Staff in Terraria is by crafting it. You must collect 20x Meteorite Bar, 10X Pixie Dust, and 10x Soul of Light to do so. Moreover, you will only get the chance to craft it at either a Mythril Anvil or an Orichalcum Anvil. This recipe applies to all the console versions of Terraria, so be sure to take notes on how to get these ingredients.

Meteor Staff Ingredient Collecting

You must collect Meteorite Bars as random drops in Shadow Crests and Gold Chests close to The Underworld to get them. However, to guarantee Meteorite Bar collection, you can collect pure Meteorite, which is found at Meteorite crash sites. These can occur anywhere, and you will be notified when a Meteorite crashes. Be sure to have a Gold Pickaxe or better to mine the Meteorite. Afterward, visit a Furnace and use 3x Meteorite to create a single Meteorite Bar.

Regarding the Pixie Dust, you will have to defeat Pixies to get it. It is a guaranteed drop, so you must visit The Hallow biome. This surface layer biome will house all the necessary Pixies for your Dust needs. Pixie Dust is used in a variety of recipes, so be sure to experiment with it once you have crafted your Meteor Staff in Terraria.

Finally, to collect Soul of Light, you must visit The Underground Hallow, a Cavern layer biome. Most of the enemies in this biome will have a 20% chance to drop a Soul of Light. This means you will have to defeat 5 enemies at most to gather one Soul of Light, so get ready for a decent battle. Once you collect all the ingredients, you are almost ready to craft your Meteor Staff in Terraria.

Mythril and Orichalcum Anvil Crafting

To craft a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil to craft the Meteor Staff in Terraria, you must gather 10x Mythril Bar or 12x  Orichalcum Bar, respectively. To create a single bar of Mythril or Orichalcum, you must collect 4x Mythril or Orichalcum Ore. Both types of ore are generated once you destroy two out of three Demon or Crisom Altars. These are mainly found in The Corruption or The Crimson biomes. Once you have destroyed the Altars, you must mine the ores using a Pickaxe with a power of 110% (Cobalt or Palladium Pickaxes work).

Once you collect the necessary ores for the Mythril or Orichalcum Bars, visit a Furnace. You will then take the resulting Bars to an Iron or Lead Anvil to craft the Mythril Anvil or the Orichalcum Anvil. Once you do, use all the ingredients collected before and craft your Meteor Staff in Terraria.

Now that you have your Meteor Staff bring Meteorite projectiles and defeat your enemies in Terraria. You will also get to emit an explosion once the Staff contacts enemies so that you will have a very powerful weapon in your hand. Use it wisely since it will drain your mana reserves quite quickly.

Terraria is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.
