While playing Jagged Alliance 3, you will gradually unlock perks for your mercenaries that give a buff to one of the main stats. There are almost 50 of these perks, and they are divided into three levels. Each of the perks requires a different amount of attribute points. Among them all, it can be difficult to choose the best ones, even for players who are already familiar with similar games. To help you with this, we have prepared a list of the best perks in Jagged Alliance 3 for each of the 5 attributes: health, agility, dexterity, strength, and wisdom.
Full Body Contact
Full Body Contact is a perk that will give you 15 Grit as you make a successful melee attack. Grit absorbs damage instead of your health, which will help you during melee fights.
Vanguard
This perk is another good solution for melee mercenaries in Jagged Alliance 3. The perk gives you 15 Grit if you are nearby an enemy or out of cover at the end of the turn. This will allow you to survive more often in situations when you could not retreat or want to continue your attack.
Beefed Up
Beefed Up is a perk with a fairly simple but good effect that will increase your mercenary’s Max HP by an additional 20%. This is a pretty good perk to use if your mercenaries are dying too fast.
Lightning Reactions
This perk is perfect for vulnerable mercenaries who do not have enough health and strength to resist enemies who come too close. Once per battle, you can dodge by dropping Prone, which will allow you to retreat or prepare for a counterattack.
Flanker
Flanker in Jagged Alliance 3 will help you deal even faster with flanked enemies that have 20% more damage. This perk will give you an additional 15% damage against such units, which will help you kill them very quickly.
Fast Runner
This perk increases the range of movement of mercenaries without armor or with light armor. It is perfect for soldiers who do not need to use armor or those who use Grit during fights.
Sharpshooter
Sharpshooter is ideal for your mercenaries who use firearms, and best of all for snipers. Each turn, you will receive 2 Aims for your first attack and also deal 27% extra damage with your first attack.
Ambusher
This perk should be used during stealth attacks on enemy bases in Jagged Alliance 3. When you are sneaking, Ambusher will increase your chances for extra Stealth Kills. And even if the enemy survives after that, he will be Suppressed.
Deadeye
The next perk is a great choice for snipers in Jagged Alliance 3, as it adds a 5% crit chance per Aim level.
Shock Assault
This perk is perfect for mercenaries who often fight in close combat or use a shotgun. The Shock Assault perk will give you a 30% extra critical chance when making Point-blank attacks on enemies.
True Strike
True Strike will make your mercenaries much stronger in melee as it will make all your successful melee attacks critical and apply Marked to enemies.
Killing Spree
The next Jagged Alliance 3 perk will help you deal with a whole group of enemies at once, so it’s a must-have for melee mercenaries. When you attack different targets in melee, you will deal 21% more damage to them.
Savior
This will help your medics restore 20% more HP using bandages and will also allow you to move more often as helping allies will give Free Move.
Distracting Shot
Distracting Shot is a great way to help you fight opponents who often use Overwatch and Pin Down. This Special attack removes these effects from enemy units.
Shock and Awe
This perk will be very useful if you are already using perks that increase your Morale. It provides High Morale for the mercenary at the beginning of the battle and also increases your damage by 10% if your Morale is High or Very High.
There are a lot of perks in Jagged Alliance 3 and it can be difficult to choose the best one for your mercenary. We hope our list of the best perks will help you understand what perks to choose when you are preparing your soldiers for missions.
