Do you want to know if you can pet the dog in Remnant 2? One of the best solo archetypes in the game is Handler, and it comes with your canine companion. This loyal companion helps you in battles and is very good at exploration. Since Handler plays a supportive role in Cope modes, most of the Handler’s abilities are based on the dog.

Can You Pet the Dog?

Yes, you can pet the dog. It is a straightforward answer since the Handler Archetype reveals trailer shows the Handler petting their dog companion. When the dog is near the Handler, they automatically heal over time, and the speed of the healing increases when you pet the dog. However, any other player in the multiplayer mode cannot pet the dog.

The Prime Perk Bonded can be used to revive the Handler up to 50% health when they are down, and it takes 90 seconds of cool down time. Also, the Allied can be healed with the command. However, they must have a Dragon heart.

Unlike many archetypes, the Handler does not have the traditional skill set as a supporting character. Instead, they can use the command to instruct the companion on the battlefield. You can command your dog to attack, return to your side or guard an ally.

There are three dog modes: Guard, Support, and Attack. Dog’s Bandana indicates its current mode. These modes provide for single press, double tap, and hold functions. When single-pressed, the dog will engage with enemies near the targeted location. When double-tapped, the dog will return to the Handler and remain beside them. Each mode has 90 seconds cooldown time.

Guard Dog

The dog gains an impressively increased threat of 15%. Additionally, all damages to them are reduced by 20%. Finally, with the Hold, a howl will be issued, reducing damages by 15% for all allies within 20 meters and generating an additional threat that lasts for 20 seconds.

Support Dog

This mode continuously heals allies within 3.5 meters for 0.25% of their maximum health per second. The Howl grants 2% of max health per second and 25% increased movement speed to all allies within 20 meters and lasts 25 seconds. Also, petting the dog will increase both Handlers and Dog’s healing speed.

Attack Dog

Your furry companion will deal 20% extra damage to your foes. But that’s not all – with the Hold command, you can also activate a mighty Howl that will boost the damage of your nearby allies by 20% for 20 seconds.

The Handler archetype in Remnant 2 is a powerful and versatile support role. Besides petting the dog in Remnant 2 with the command, you can control your dog to take on different roles on the battlefield – from healing allies to dealing extra damage. The howl effects are impressive and can turn the tide of battle in your favor. With these commands, you have complete control over your companion – making them the perfect teammate.
