This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Using cameras effectively in Rust is essential to monitor your base and your surroundings. You can also check if players are looting popular monuments such as Large Oil Rig or Underwater Labs. Or, if you have a neighbor you want to raid, you can put hidden cameras around their bases and monitor them all the time. Without further delay, let’s jump right into all Rust camera codes, including Oil Rig camera codes, and how they work.

There are two different types of CCTV Camera Codes in Rust. The first is Rust‘s own CCTV Camera Codes, and the second is the camera codes created by the players. Below are the CCTV Camera Codes for all monuments created by Facepunch in the game.

The “****” at the end of some camera codes indicates that those Rust camera codes are dynamic procedural. In other words, these codes change every time the Rust server wipes and are server specific.

However, there is a way to learn these codes. For example, you want to take the camera codes from Underwater Labs to your Computer Station. This way you will be able to watch Underwater Labs from your base and decide whether to go or not depending on if there are enemies.

To do this, you need to go to Underwater Labs and find the Computer Station inside. After you find it, the codes on the bottom left are the Rust camera codes you are looking for. If you desire, a friend of yours can type the CCTV Camera Codes into the Computer Station at the base as you tell them, or you can take screenshots, and type them yourself at the base.

How to Use The Computer Station

You can buy the Computer Station from the Outpost for 300 Scrap. Or if you have researched it, you can craft it for 5 High-Quality Metal, 1 Targeting Computer, 1 RF Broadcaster, and 1 RF Receiver. The Computer Station does not consume electricity, so you can install it anywhere in your base, and use it as you wish without connecting electricity.

After placing the Computer Station where you want it, click on the interaction button to sit down. Then you will see a screen with ants and at the bottom left you will see a label called “Identifier to Add.” You can connect by typing the CCTV camera codes you want to connect to this box. To give an example from Rust Oil Rig camera codes, by typing “OILRIG1DOCK” you can view the camera in the dock of the Small Oil Rig.
