In Baldur’s Gate 3, you and your party will face many challenges and enemies, after which not everyone will be able to survive. It’s a really unpleasant situation, and you’ve probably come to the conclusion that a dead companion can’t be in the party because he’s useless. But next, you will learn how to remove dead party members in Baldur’s Gate 3. There are several nuances, and we will tell you about them.
If you faced such a situation, you should know that you cannot remove a dead companion from the party. Instead, there are 2 options for what you can do, namely revive the companion, or load the last save where he is still alive. Everything is clear with the second option and you just lose some of the game progress, so next we tell you more about reviving your companion.
There are 3 main methods you can use to revive a party member. All of them are relatively different, so we’ll talk about each of them separately.
Scroll of Revivify
Revive Scroll is a consumable that you can use to revive dead party members in Baldur’s Gate 3. Any character, regardless of class or spell list, can use it to revive an ally. You can buy this item from merchants or get it as a reward after completing quests. Remember, once you revive your companion with the Scroll of Revivify, they will only have 1 HP. Therefore, before reviving them, prepare yourself so that you can immediately heal them.
Revivify Spell
Another method is very similar to Scroll of Revive, but here you should use a spell. It’s not as easy as you think because it’s a level 3 necromancy magic spell. It will be easier for you to get it if you play in a class like Cleric or Paladin. The spell has a range of 9 meters and, just like with Scroll of Revivify, restores only 1 HP.
Withers
If you are unable to use the previous two methods to revive dead party members in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can try the third one, but it is more expensive. If you visit the Dank Crypt, you can meet a talking skeleton called Withers. After meeting him, you can invite him to your camp as a permanent NPC and ask him for help. If you want to revive a dead companion, talk to Withers and he will be able to revive anyone of your choice for 200 gold. Yes, it is quite expensive, but if you travel without a companion, or even two, then it will be much more difficult for you to progress.
