Baldur’s Gate 3 is a long game that gives you the chance to work with the Dungeons & Dragons gameplay in a variety of settings. Even if you don’t use cheats, it’s still a rewarding journey that makes you feel proud to complete. But once you beat the game, there’s not much left to do other than reload an old save. Does Baldur’s Gate 3 Have New Game Plus?
Baldur’s Gate 3 does not have a New Game Plus option. If you want to start the game from the beginning, you must make a new character and play through the whole adventure again. It’s faster than trying to find a way to bring your character over or using some mods. Your powerful character must be left in the same save file as it was before. This does give you the opportunity to create new characters and try different options rather than playing with the same character.
Playing the game with your previous knowledge also helps you make smarter decisions. You already know which rolls you should make and the decisions that are important. Carrying the benefits over from those decisions can feel unfair because you get to experience the benefit of both decisions. Having to deal with rolls you aren’t ready to make is part of the game’s appeal. It wouldn’t be a Dungeons & Dragons game if you could easily win every roll because of your enhanced stats.

While it won’t be the same as a New Game Plus, there’s value in trying something different or experimenting with a new setup. Part of the fun of the game is trying something that works for you.
