The Final Fantasy XIV Rising Event returns for 2023, offering fans new rewards and a Phoenix Mount. The Rising celebrations are recurring annual events that celebrate the anniversary of FFXIV’s relaunch as A Realm Reborn. The three city-states of Eorzea are decorated for The Rising, and fireworks are active throughout the land. The Rising 2023 event includes new rewards and plot details for the greater Eorzea lore. The Rising 2023 is a limited-time celebration, so if you want any prizes during the event, you need to log into the game within a specific period.

The Rising is a celebration to pay tribute to the lives lost during the Seventh Umbral Calamity, the last major conflict of the original Final Fantasy XIV. After the Battle of Carteneau, the land of Eorzea was devastated and led to the Seventh Umbral Era.

Eventually, Eorzea recovered from the war, leading to the start of Realm Reborn. The region was reshaped after the conflict, explaining why Eorzea is different from the original title and A Realm Reborn. Since then, Eorzea has been hosting the Rising Event every year.

There are many rewards and exclusive quests you can do during the event. The types of prizes you can win include minions emotes, and Orchestrion Rolls. The quests and rewards in The Rising tend to be exclusive to the event but occasionally return to Final Fantasy XIV within the in-game store a year later.

  • Pom from the Heavens Orchestrion Scroll

Siblings Rising is this year’s exclusive quest. The mission centers around Kipih Jakkya worrying about her sibling and requesting your aid. The requirements for the quest is that you need to be at level 15.

What Is the Release Date for The Rising 2023 Event?

The FFXIV Rising 2023 Event will begin on August 27 at midnight PDT. The event will last until the launch of Patch 6.5 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Square Enix has yet to reveal a release date for the patch, but Rising Events usually last around two weeks or a little less.
