Let’s face it: video games are expensive these days. It’s a sacrifice that many of us are willing to make but dropping $70 on a new title is not always ideal. Starfield, Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG, is no different. The standard edition will set buyers back the typical $70, while the premium edition is a whopping $100. Luckily, at least for PC gamers, there is a method to get Starfield at a nice discount.

How To Get The Starfield Discount

The discount comes via Fanatical, a UK-based digital games marketplace. This means that, unfortunately, this opportunity for penny-pinching is only available for PC players. To be fair, PC is arguably the best platform for Bethesda titles, thanks to its incredible modding community.

This temporary sale is applicable to both versions of the game. By entering the code ‘FANATICAL17’ before checkout, buyers will be able to save 17 percent on the title. This brings the standard edition of Starfield down to $58 and the premium edition all the way down to $83. For those of you wondering if this is legit, we went ahead and tested it for ourselves, and yes – the Starfield discount is legit. This promotion lasts until September 30th, so you have a bit of time to decide if you’d like to partake.

Even if space-faring RPGs aren’t really your thing, you are still in for a treat. The aforementioned code works on all full-priced Fanatical games. We can’t say for certain whether or not there is a limit to how many different times a buyer can use the code, but there doesn’t appear to be one.

Does Discounted Starfield Still Grant The Preorder Bonuses?

Players who preorder Starfield at a discount will still be treated to all of its bonuses. This includes a Laser Cutter skin, the Deep Mining Helmet, and the Deep Mining Cosmetic Pack. Just be sure to purchase the game before September 6th to receive the benefits.
