One of the most exciting aspects of role-playing games, apart from having the freedom to do whatever you want, like cheating to get infinite money, is character design. Bethesda with Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series have shown how many in-depth character systems they can design, and Starfield is no exception for excellent characters and ship customization. For many reasons, you may want to have and create multiple characters to explore different options simultaneously. So, if you want to know whether you can create multiple characters in Starfield, you’ve come to the right place.

The beauty of RPGs is that you can play them multiple times with different characters and choices to get a whole new experience. Having several MCs gives you the benefit of testing out options built into the game and seeing all the possible outcomes for yourself.

Thankfully, Starfield has the option to create multiple characters in one save file. When you start a new game, you have to create your character’s appearance, sex, and body shape. After playing for a few hours or minutes, the option of Continue will appear on the main menu.

Before creating another character, make sure you save manually from the Pause menu in the game. Then go back to the main menu and once again press the New option. This will take you back to the start of the game, and you can create another character for yourself.

When you want to change between different characters you’ve built, you have to use the Load option from the main menu to load the game manually. Pressing Continue will start the game as the last character you played with.

The good thing about Starfield is the option to choose the character you want to start with in the Load menu. Suppose you have multiple characters in the game. After selecting the Load button, a list will appear showing the characters’ names you’ve created so you can easily select which playthrough you want to explore.

Starfield is now available as Early Access for PC and Xbox Series X|S and will be released fully on September 6.
