Starfield is finally available in Early Access, so players with the Premium Edition version of the game can start their adventure among the stars. By chance, your character will happen to find an Artifact and join Constellation to search out more of these mysterious items. However, you are not limited to your greater purpose and can do anything in the universe. For example, in one of the first side quests you will be asked to find some switches and power them down, which is actually a little more difficult than it might seem. So, read on to learn how to power down the Junction Box for the Tapping the Grid quest in Starfield.

First of all, you need to progress through Starfield until you get to the Jemison. Then, you have to get to The Well, which is located under New Atlantis. And there, you can start the Tapping the Grid quest by agreeing to help Louisa.

It is one of the easiest Starfield side quests, so all you have to do is find some Junction Boxes and activate them. You will follow Louisa’s advice to find each of the 4 Boxes in a specific order. In addition, your target is marked, so you will not have any problem with the first three.

However, the last Junction Box is near the Trade Commission. To get to it, you must ignore the main entrance and go up the stairs on the left. But, when you arrive at the right place, you will find a locked door.

From the last Junction Box, you are separated by a door and a small puzzle with secondary Junction Boxes. In total, there are 4 of them in the room. When they are activated, green lights come on behind them. You need to light all 4 lights to unlock the door.

So, to power down the Junction Box in Tapping the Grid quest, you must activate the second Junction Box from the left, then the first, and finally the third. Once you’ve done that, you’ll finally be able to get to the last Junction Box and power down it. After that, return to Louisa to complete the quest and get your well-deserved 75 XP.

That’s all you need to know about how to power down the Junction Box for the Tapping the Grid quest in Starfield. This quest is very simple but can confuse players a bit with the puzzle.
