There are a wide variety of different ship modules and general upgrades that you can make to your spaceship in Starfield. Of these is the SF40 Sheared Flow Reactor. This reactor does have a few requirements to earn it, but it’s pretty easy to obtain once you know how. Considering that, we want to show you how to get and where to find the SF40 Sheared Flow Reactor in Starfield.

You be able to very easily find this reactor either from any Ship Technician that you come across in Starfield or, more specifically, from the Akila City Ship Technician at the very bottom of the list of available reactors. As a ship module, you’ll find it at star ports or space stations where you can customize ships and buy new parts. Picking this one up specifically will really enhance your ship’s systems.

What Is the SF40 Sheared Flow Reactor in Starfield?

The SF40 Sheared Flow Reactor is a reactor that was manufactured by Dogstar, which serves as a ship’s primary source of power. It is constantly generating more and more power as you float in space so that your journey can be as smooth as possible. Some would even compare it to the heart of the ship, needing to be constantly pumping in order to make sure that everything else is working as it should. The exact stats of this reactor are as follows:

  • Class: C
  • Power Generated: 40
  • Reactor Health: 116
  • Hull: 1315
  • Crew Capacity: 3
  • Value: 77615
  • Mass: 116

To actually be able to make it, you will need to have a Piloting rank of 4 and a Starship Design rank of 2. The reactor is only one of the many important ship modules for any ship. There are cockpits, dockets, structural components, weapons, cargo holds, bays, engines, fuel tanks, landing gears, HABs, reactors, and shield generators. You can upgrade and add to your ship to make it the most formidable one in the entire galaxy. Hopefully, you’re able to easily find the SF40 Sheared Flow Reactor sooner rather than later.
