Starfield, has finally been launched worldwide, and it’s making waves in the gaming industry. It has achieved massive sales records within just a few days, which isn’t surprising given the hype. Available on both consoles and PCs, Starfield allows fans to embark on their interstellar adventures in its vast universe. However, if you’re hoping to share this experience with friends who are playing on different platforms, it’s natural to wonder: Is Starfield cross-platform? If you’re seeking an answer to this question, we’ve got the information you need.

Is Starfield Cross Platform?

I’m sorry to be the bearer of this news, but Starfield does not support cross platform play. Furthermore, it’s important to note that Starfield is a single-player experience, which means you won’t be able to team up with friends, whether they’re on the same platform or a different one. So, if you’re playing on PC and your friend is on console or also on PC, there’s no way to play together in Starfield.

There are mixed opinions when it comes to the question of whether Starfield should introduce cross-platform or not. In a Reddit post, some user shared their perspective, stating that they believe multiplayer would have a negative impact on their personal experience with Starfield. A majority expressed concerns that it might disrupt the immersive role-playing aspect of the game.

On the flip side, there were other gamers who argued that Bethesda could elevate the gaming experience by integrating a multiplayer feature. Such discussions and debates are no strangers to the gaming world, as conflicts often arise over the inclusion of cooperative features. This is particularly in the realm of role-playing games (RPGs).

Will Starfield Support Co-Op in the Future?

Once again, we have to disappoint you as Bethesda has officially ruled out the possibility of implementing cross-platform play in Starfield. In fact, the game was intentionally crafted with a singular player experience in focus. However, there’s no need for despair, as there remains a glimmer of hope. How, might you ask? Well, considering Bethesda’s longstanding support for mods. So, it’s not unreasonable to anticipate the emergence of cross-platform features through external modding efforts.

So, that is all you need to know about whether Starfield is cross-platform or not. In the meantime, you can also take a look at our guide on how to get Microsecond Regulators.
