Being in control of where you get your resources and how many you have on you at any given time is part of the most important aspects of Starfield. Benzene, also known by its elemental name C6Hn, is one of the resources that this a little hard to come by in the game. As long as you know where to look, however, you shouldn’t have a hard time at all. We have written out how to Benzine in Starfield and what it’s for below for your convenience.
How to Mine Benzene in Starfield
As we explained, it isn’t exactly easy to come by Benzene. If you want to find it, you’ll need to get over to the Tau Ceti system and find the planer Tau Ceti II. Here, you can land anywhere on the surface and use your Hand Scanner to locate Benzene. If you haven’t already found the resource on that planet, then as you scan for it, it will appear as a resource with a blue outline as opposed to a resource that is completely green. The green indicates that this resource has already been scanned and found on this planet. It’s also pretty easy to find Benzene as it is gaseous, and gas will be pouring out of it when you see it.
Once you are able to successfully locate the Benzene, you can walk up to it and harvest it directly by hand. This can be done by pressing the E key on your keyboard or the A button on your Xbox controller. If you build an outpost on this planet, then you’ll be able to easily farm this resource.

If you’re still having trouble finding Benzene, then you might want to try purchasing it instead.
