Disney Dreamlight Valley introduced a new character known as The Forgotten. Even though the character acts like a villain, you can accept quests for them. The third quest you can complete for The Forgotten in Dreamlight Valley is Poetic License. The mission has you scurry around your village and get advice from other characters to help finish some of The Forgotten’s poems. Afterward, you gather material to build a Poetry Corner for The Forgotten. Maybe helping the character write some poetry will help rehabilitate their image.

You must complete the Acts of Care quest before accepting the Poetic License from The Forgotten. Acts of Care is the second mission The Forgotten will hand you in Dreamlight Valley. You may have to wait a week in-game before the Poetic License becomes available.

You talk to The Forgotten in the Dark Castle to accept the quest. The character will either be around the first or second floor. The character will request you to discover the missing verse of three poems they are writing. They send you out to find three villagers that match the three subjects in their poem:

  • The jealous ruler
  • Being nervous about getting older
  • Someone who was unfairly exiled

Who Do You Talk to for Poetic License

Each poem’s subject perfectly reflects a villain from the Disney films that you can see hanging out in your village. You can easily figure out which subject matches which villain if you’re a Disney fan. However, if you still have trouble piecing it together, here are the villagers you talk to to complete Poetic License in Dreamlight Valley. You may also have to complete some quests to unlock these characters.

  • The jealous ruler: Scar
    • This villainous lion can be seen wandering the Sunlit Plateau, usually near the mammoth skull.

  • Being nervous about getting older: Mother Gothel
    • This wicked stepmom is usually found in her home in the Glade of Trust.

    • Ursula tends to be in her lair, which you can only place within water. You can catch her walking in the village if you unlock the Vanessa transformation for Ursula.

Return to the Dark Castle to give The Forgotten the lines the villains gave you. They will want to share their finished poems with the world. They ask you for one last favor, which is to build a Poetry Corner.

How To Build a Poetry Corner in Dreamlight Valley

The Forgotten will ask you to gather supplies to construct a poetry corner. These items aren’t too difficult to find in Dreamlight Valley.

  • Iron Ingot x5
    • An Iron Ingot can be bought at Kristoff’s Stall or crafted with five Iron Ore and 1 Coal.
  • Fabric x10
    • Fabric can also be purchased by Kristoff’s Stall or crafted with five Cotton. You can harvest Cotton from seeds bought at Goofy’s Stall.
  • Black Passion Lily x2
    • These lilies can be found in the Frosted Heights.
  • Amethyst x2
    • You mine Amethyst from rock spots in the Frosted Heights or Forgotten Lands.

Once you’ve gathered all the ingredients, head back to the Dark Castle to talk to The Forgotten one more time. They ask you for a new verse for their poem, but this time it is about you. It doesn’t matter what decision you pick as The Forgotten will see it as reaffirming your bond.

Place down the Poetry Corner in any part of the Forgotten Lands biome. Take a picture with you and the villains to finish the quest, and your reward is a bottle of Even More Miraculous Pickax Polish.
