In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, you’ll often engage in side activities that involve a car chase. Not all missions are pure action; sometimes, you’ll have to use your strength and spidey skills to rescue a single hostage. Using Spiderman’s arsenal of traversal skills, you’ll have to catch up with a moving vehicle and stop it. Whoever is in the driving seat is probably a ruffian, flame worshiper, or some other form of bad guy, but always needs to be stopped. You’ll need to find a way to safely stop the moving vehicle and rescue the innocent victim who’s trapped in the trunk.
First, spot the area where the vehicle is headed. Web-swing Spider-Man style, or use your web-gliding skills to reach it. When you are hovering over the vehicle, press the triangle button on your controller to land on the roof.
You will immediately notice that enemies start attacking you. Use the left analog stick to dodge any incoming attack and press the square button to counterattack. After getting rid of the driver and his companions, stand on the front of the moving car in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. All that’s left is to press square to web two buildings, ultimately stopping the car.
You might get knocked off of the car if you don’t manage to dodge enemy attacks, but you’ll just have to press triangle to get back up.
Now, it is time to rescue the hostage. Open the trunk of the car and take the hostage out. Put them on your back and swing them to a safe place in the city. Locate an ambulance in the area and lay the hostage on a hospital gurney for them to take care of him.

- Chase the car using Spiderman’s web-slinging skills.
- Hover over the car and press triangle to land on top of it.
- Take out the bad guys with square.
- Stop the car and rescue the hostage from the trunk.
