In The Lord Of The Rings: Return to Moria you will control a company of dwarves with the goal of exploring the depths of Moria and making it your home again. However, in the procedurally generated caves, there are more than treasures in waiting. Various enemies stalk the mine’s halls. Therefore, players will have to craft various items and equipment to survive. However, rare resources like Hide can be quite hard to find in Return to Moria. Fortunately, there are several ways to help you collect it.

Where To Find Hide

Hide is possibly one of the rarest resources in The Lord Of The Rings: Return to Moria. But this is a problem only until you find out exactly how you can collect it reliably. And the first way is hunting.

Early in the game, you will often find stags or larger animals such as Hriwara or Cave Bears. By killing them you can get several Hide for each. Of course, this is not the fastest way in the game, but players can do it as soon as they get to Western Halls. However, as you progress, you will be able to find a more effective method.

Following the story of Return to Moria, you will receive a quest for which you will have to repair The Crystal Descent. After this, you can craft Loom and get into The Lower Deeps. In the new location, you will find Resin, necessary for crafting Hide in Return to Moria.

More precisely, for one Hide, you will need 1 Resin and 10 Hide Scraps. The latter can be obtained as a drop from killing smaller animals. Then you need to craft Loom and with its help, you can get as much Hide as you want.

To summarize, you need to follow these tips to get Hide in Lord Of The Rings: Return to Moria:

  • Hunt larger animals early in the game
  • Progress until you unlock Loom
  • Collect Resin and Hide Scraps to craft Hide
