There are a variety of different upgrades that you can add to your ship in Lethal Company. You can add the Teleporter, the Inverse Teleporter, and the Loud Horn. Each of these upgrades provides unique uses that make going out to find loot and hide from monsters just a bit easier. However, you’ll need to know what the Loud Horn does in Lethal Company if you want to have any hope of coming back to the ship alive.

You can purchase the Loud Horn from the ship store for 150 credits. This makes it the cheapest of all of the other ship upgrades you can get. To use it, you need to pull on the rope that’s hanging from the side of the horn to blare an incredibly loud horn outside. While not ideal in every scenario, we found that in our experience, you can use the Loud Horn to:

  • Help lead your crewmates back to the ship in intense fog.
  • Draw monsters away from crew members who are lost.
  • Annoy your crew.

We found that it isn’t really worth picking up, because it doesn’t really have too many practical uses. However, since it’s so cheap, we recommend upgrading your ship with it anyway in the off chance that you do need it. The Teleporter can teleport players back to the ship at the expense of their items and the Inverse Teleporter teleports you to a random place on the map. In comparison, the Loud Horn doesn’t seem as useful, though under the right conditions, you’ll be glad that you picked it up as long as someone is back at the ship to use it.
