Sean Palmieri is moving on from the O Group. The Selling the OC star has announced that he has left the Oppenheim Group. The news comes less than a week after the trailer for the third season of the reality series went live. The trailer showed a ton of conflict centering around the realtor.

Palmieri revealed the decision in a statement, which he shared with Entertainment Tonight on Monday, by and large, surprising viewers.

“Unfortunately, the Oppenheim Group was not a culture fit for me and I’m really excited for the future as I just signed as a partner with an amazing, top-producing team and mentor, Steve Games, previous owner of Prudential California Realty and Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty,” the realtor said. “Our team recently just launched with Coldwell Banker West.”

“Returning to the serene atmosphere of San Diego County, where I first ventured from Florida to California, brings me great joy,” he added. “I’m eager to explore the opportunities that lie ahead for my business and success in this vibrant community.”

Neither Brett nor Jason Oppenheimer has commented on the departure, though chances are one is likely to speak out before the season premieres.

Other brokers expressed concern for Sean Palmieri in the trailer for season 3 of Selling the OC. In one scene, Gio Helou says, “Sean is trouble. His business is suffering.”

Tyler Stanaland chimed in and added, “He has never sold anything.”

In a later scene with more of the cast, Palmieri gets snarky and takes a jab at Stanaland. Confronted about his perceived lack of success in real estate, Palmieri fired back and said, “It’d be really nice if I had Daddy handing me all my listings.”

Although that confrontation seemed bad, it wasn’t anything compared to the next scene, which Palmieri was also featured in. The realtor could be seen in a heated conversation that appears to turn physical with Austin Victoria. Since, for the most part, fights on these series rarely escalate to that level, it was truly a shock, even to the cast and crew.

Palmieri says he “sleeps like a baby at night because I have the truth.” Later, he confronted about spreading “rumors” as the situation erupted. On the whole, it seems like viewers will get a lot of insight into just how bad the “culture fit” between Palmieri and the O Group really was.

Selling the OC season three is set to premiere on Netflix in early 2024.
