If you didn’t know, the Doomsday Heist was the first long heist added to GTA Online. It came with three acts and involved a lot of preparation for players to pull it off—however, many struggle with Act 3 of the Doomsday Heist. With it being the longest of the three acts and having a lot of prep and setup missions, it is crucial to know what the most efficient way to do it is. Besides, this is the act that pays the most, and once you finish it, you can grind it as often as you want.
GTA Online: Doomsday Heist Act 3 Walkthrough
With every act getting longer, it’s only normal for this one to have the most missions and some of the most challenging ones, too. However, with a good team, you can cross them off one by one in a matter of hours. Also, if you have some high-end equipment, such as the Deluxo, things will go even faster. So, let’s dive into the best way to finish this act and cash out.

Like other prep missions, you have to do this one while in free mode. We recommend hosting an Invite Only session and only getting your team to make this faster. You must head to the marked location, grab the cash, and escape the cops. The easiest way to do this is by having your co-pilot call Lester to remove your Wanted Level.
- 2. Prep: Recon
This is one of the easiest missions. Head to the location and take pictures. You should head to the blue icons, which mark the fastest route. Once you take all pictures, leave the area and head back to your facility for the first Setup mission.
- 3. Setup: Rescue Agent 14
Since this is a Setup mission, you must invite your crew, get your outfits, and watch out for those lives. Head to the location and start shooting enemies. The first phase is pretty easy, as you’ll only face normal enemies. However, around halfway through the mission, you’ll see Juggernauts who can turn invisible. Use your Thermal Goggles to defeat them and head to the extraction point.
- 4. Prep: Chernobog
Head to the marked location and steal the Chernobog. You can use the tank to take out enemies, but be careful not to destroy the Chernobog.
- 5. Escort ULP
Head to the location and grab the Chernobog. You must clear the area first. One player should grab the Ramp Buggy and the other one the Chernobog. Head to the land site and wait for Agent ULP. Once he arrives, have the second player enter the Chernobog to use the missiles to eliminate the enemy helicopters.
- 6. Prep: Flight Path
A random target will appear on the map. Go to its location and take it out quietly. You need to recover a briefcase. If you don’t do it quietly, you’ll get a wanted level and must get rid of it before returning to the facility.
- 7. Setup: Barrage
This is a fun mission. You must ambush a Cargobob to retrieve a weaponized ATV. For that, you’ll get a sniper rifle with explosive ammunition. Take out the enemies and get the ATV. After that, head to the Airfield and defeat all enemies. You must take out the airplane before it takes off. Try to have both players inside the ATV, or if your crew has other weaponized vehicles, use them for this mission.
- 8. Prep: Test Site Intel
Your team has to find information regarding a stealth tank. You’ll get a random location and must infiltrate a house quietly to steal the information from a lockbox. Failure to do this quietly will trigger a wanted level of three stars.
- 9. Setup: Khanjali
The team must go to a scrapyard to steal the stealth tank. First, your team needs to destroy some equipment before collecting the tank. Once you have it, you must fight your way to the drop-off location. This mission is easy, and you should use the tank’s weaponry to finish it faster.
- 10. Prep: Onboard Computer
Your crew must find a Hydra airplane and shoot it down to collect a module to get inside Avon’s missile system. You’ll do a bit of flying and swimming here, so bring the right gear for the situation.
- 11. Setup: Air Defenses
This is quite a hectic mission, but you can complete it in a team of two. Grab the bomber airplane and head to the locations to destroy the equipment. The passenger will have to switch weapons constantly, but with good coordination, this is one of the fastest Setups in Act 3.
The Doomsday Scenario Walkthrough
We wanted to make a whole section for this mission, as it is the conclusion of The Doomsday Heist Act 3 in GTA Online. It is a long mission, and you might not make it unscathed at first, but we have a few pointers to guide you in your quest to save the world.
Infiltrating the Compound
Avon’s secret base is inside Mount Chilliad, and before you head there, you must choose a vehicle, the Barrage of the Khanjali stealth tank. Always choose the latter. It has the most destructive power and provides you with a lot of protection. Inside, focus on clearing the barricades and making your way to the end of the gauntlet.
Destroying the Supplies
If you survived the gauntlet, you must continue on foot to destroy the supplies inside the base. You can split up or stick together to cover each other. If you’re only two, we recommend sticking together. You can choose either direction but try to cover each other’s backs as you move through the narrow corridors.
Stopping the Missile
After destroying many supplies, which is the longest part of the Doomsday Heist Act 3’s conclusion in GTA Online, you must head to the server room and stop the missile. Similar to Act 1, you must hack several servers. The easiest way to do this is by assigning someone to hack and the other to protect. If you are a full team, this will be pretty easy. Once the hacking is done, someone needs to control the Orbital Cannon to destroy the final servers.
Defeating Avon
Last but not least, you get to confront Avon in a sequence worthy of a spy flick. You must grab a weaponized jetpack and follow Avon until you defeat him. It might be hectic due to other helicopters trying to take you down, but if you focus on Avon, you’ll finish the mission as soon as you take him out.
Undoubtedly, Act 3 of The Doomsday Heist in GTA Online is one of the most fun and difficult. However, it is the one that pays the most, making it a good option to grind if you haven’t unlocked Cayo Perico or some of the Casino Missions.
