This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

As you start earning more frames and weapons in Warframe, you eventually hit your inventory limit and must discard weapons. While some weapons are easy to throw away, others are perfect for the frames you have or will be useful later. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to get more weapon slots in Warframe as you can’t spend regular in-game currency to expand it. Here’s what you can do to add more weapon slots and carry around the arsenal you need.

The easiest way to get more weapon slots in Warframe is to spend platinum. Go to the Weapons section and click the Weapon Slots sign, then spend the amount necessary to gain more slots. It’s not a large platinum purchase but it requires real-world money that not every player is prepared to pay for.

Special event and anniversary weapons also have their own inventory slots, which don’t take up your existing space. You can collect as many of these weapons as you like and artificially push past your inventory limits. It’s the only other method of adding weapon slots to your inventory that doesn’t require spending platinum.

If you aren’t interested in making purchases with real money, you can always look for frames or weapons that are in demand. Once you obtain them, you can sell them on the marketplace for platinum if other players are willing to pay. It takes some time and demand for items will fluctuate, changing the amount of platinum you earn. But it’s your only method of earning platinum without paying real-world money.

Here’s a quick recap of getting more weapon slots in Warframe:

  • The easiest and fastest way is to spend platinum on new weapon slots. It costs real-world money but the amount of platinum isn’t expensive at first.
  • You can also get event and anniversary weapons which have their own inventory slots. They don’t take up any space and allow you to keep collecting weapons.
  • Your other alternative is finding items and rare frames that other players will trade platinum for. Use your earnings to expand your weapon slots.
