Every new season in Destiny 2, there are pretty decent changes made to some of the Exotic armor in the game, which, in turn, means that there is a whole slew of new builds that are made possible like the Infinite Super Hunter class build. This build revolves around an exotic arm armor called Shards of Galanor and is almost too overpowered to overlook in the Season of the Wish. With an Exotic perk like Sharp Edges, you can really use Shards of Galanor to your advantage, but paired with what? That’s what we’re here to figure out.
Infinite Super Build Exotic Armor
For the Infinite Super build in Season of the Wish, we’re going to focus on the Shards of Galanor. When it comes to builds in Destiny 2, everything revolves around the Exotic armor that you choose to use. In this case, Shards of Galanor is our Exotic, and for a dang good reason.
Shards of Galanor has an Exotic Armor Perk that allows you to reduce your super cooldown every time you hit with Throwing Knives or Blade Barrage. That said, you’re definitely going to be running Blade Barrage for this build as well.
- Sharp Edges Exotic Armor Perk
- Throwing Knife final blows decrease the cooldown of your Super. Hits and final blows with Blade Barrage will return Super energy after the Super ends.
Hunter Subclass Setup
For this build, we’re going to be using the obvious subclass, Gunslinger. This allows us to use Blade Barrage, which can give us back Super energy once our Super is finished as long as we hit combatants with the previous Super.
- Subclass – Gunslinger
- Class Ability – Gambler’s Dodge
- Dodge to perform a deft tumble, avoiding enemy attacks. Dodging near enemies fully recharges your Melee Ability.
- Solar Melee – Knife Trick
- Throw a fan of flaming knives that scorch targets on hit.
- Aspect 1 – Knock ‘Em Down
- Your Solar Supers are enhanced. Deadshot Golden Gun has damage resistance, Marksman Golden Gun has increased duration, and Blade BArrage launches more projectiles. While radiant, final blows with your equipped Throwing Knife fully refund your melee energy.
- Aspect 2 – On Your Mark
- Precision final blows grants you and nearby allies increased weapon handling and reload speed for a short duration. Stacks 3 times. Activating your class ability immediately grants maximum stacks of On Your Mark.
- Fragment 1 – Ember of Beams
- Your Solar Projectiles have stronger target acquisition
- +10 Intellect
- Fragment 2 – Ember of Empyrean
- Solar weapon or ability final blows extend the duration of resporations and radiant effects applied to you.
- -10 Resilience
- Fragment 3 – Ember of Searing
- Defeating scorched targets grants melee energy and creates a Firesprite.
- +10 Recovery
- Fragment 4 – Ember of Singeing
- Your class ability recharges faster when you scorch targets.
- Fragment 5 – Ember of Torches
- Powered melee attacks against combatants make you and nearby allies radiant.
- -10 Discipline
With Gambler’s Dodge as your class ability, you have the opportunity to dodge if you missed a hit on your Throwing Knife and get your charge back to try again. Knife Trick allows you to not only hit your enemies with your Throwing Knives, but also scorch them in the process, dealing additional damage and possibly giving you final blows rather than just hits. Additionally, Knife Trick allows you to throw three knives rather than one, boosting your chances of getting hits and final blows even further.
When it comes to this build, your grenade and movement abilities are both fully up to you. However, if you want to maximize your potential for Blade Barrage and Throwing Knife hits and final blows, you might want to throw on a non-lethal grenade, like the Healing Grenade. This way, you can survive for longer and leave all the damage dealing to the abilities that will lower your Super cooldown.
Now, let’s take a look at our Aspects. Knock ‘Em Down was chosen for two reasons. First, it causes you to launch more Blade Barrage projectiles. Next, whenever you get a final blow with a Throwing Knife while radiant, you get your full melee energy refunded. This is pretty useful since this build relies on Throwing Knife and Blade Barrage final blows and hits. As far as On Your Mark goes, any time you get precision final blows, like those you would get with a Throwing Knife, your weapon handling and reload speed increase, as well as all your allies, which will happen quite often with this build.
When it comes to your Fragments, they all revolve around a couple of key points. First, you want to stay radiant. Without that, a lot of the build just falls apart. Next, we want to get the Super, Melee, and Class Ability energy flowing in like crazy. Finally, we want to make sure that we can continue to scorch enemies. All of these Fragments will help quite a bit with all that.
