It seems that with every new Pokemon game comes a new way to evolve new versions of existing Pokemon. Previous to The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Duraludon didn’t have any evolutions. Now, the steel and dragon-type can become even bigger and more menacing than before. Let’s dive into how to get and evolve Duraludon into Archaludon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk.

Duraludon comes back to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet via The Indigo Disk DLC. You can find it in one single region: the northwest polar biome of the new map. You can’t catch this Pokemon without having the DLC first. Once you have a Duraludon in your party, you can evolve it into an Archaludon in The Indigo Disk right away. However, you do need to have a Metal Alloy. You don’t need to reach a certain level in order to do this. Select the Use This Item option when you’re hovering over it in the item menu.

The Metal Allow is a new item featured in The Indigo Disc and Duraludon is the only Pokemon that can make use of it. It’s possible that this will change in the future.

Abilities

The following are each of Archaludon’s abilities:

StaminaIncreases the user’s Defense by one stage each time it gets hit by an attack.
SturdyThe user cannot be knocked out with one hit and cannot be knocked out by one-hit moves, causing the Pokemon to have 1 HP remaining.
Stalwart
(Hidden)
The user ignores abilities and moves that changes the target of moves.

Where To Find the Metal Alloy

You can get to finding Metal Alloys from the School Store in Blueberry Academy for 300 Blueberry Points. The Blueberry Points serve as a new form of currency for the game. You have to complete the different BP quests on your Rotom Phone to earn them. You’ll naturally complete these missions as you play through the DLC. If you want to be more intentional, you can press the right D-Pad to pull up your tasks and pin it that way.
