The Sword of Chaos is a very rare but useful weapon that can be used in almost any fighter’s build, thanks to its decent damage and ability to regenerate health. Unfortunately, you can’t get this blade until you reach Act 3, so this is a late-game weapon. So, let’s take a look at how to get the Sword of Chaos in Baldur’s Gate 3.

It’s not easy to obtain the sword because you’ll first need to find the boss and then defeat him and his followers. Your opponent will be Sarevok Anchev, who you’ll meet during the Impress the [Expletive] Tribunal quest. Before you can kill him, you will need to find his location, which is a rather time-consuming process.

To successfully do this, you’ll first need to obtain the Bag of Hands by defeating and looting the local serial killer, Dolor. Dolor kills people to impress the Bhaal members, and he also knows important information about the secret passcode that you need to say at the entrance to the boss location. You can find this killer by simply completing local missions that will appear in the city in Act 3, namely:

  • Open Hand Temple [Expletive]
  • Investigate the homicides
  • Optional: Find Dribbles the Clown

When you eventually get the Bag of Hands and learn the passcode, it’s time to find Sarevok Anchev. He is located in the Canduhallow Tombstones building, the entrance to which is located at the following coordinates – X: 73, Y: 21. Once you’re inside, head to the last room in the building, on the 1st floor. Here, to the right of the entrance, you will notice a painting that you need to remove to find the button. When you do, press the button, and go to the door opposite, and say the secret code Sicarius, which you learned from the note from Dolor’s corpse.

After doing so, the door will open and you will enter the Bhaalist Crypt. Follow the linear path, constantly turning right to reach the wooden door and enter it. Here, you will be faced with That Which Guards, who will tell you to give a gift or else they will strip you to the bone. Specifically, the Bag of Hands, which we mentioned earlier, will come in handy. Just give the guard’s hands and they’ll let you through.

Next, after talking to the guards, you’ll enter the [Expletive] Tribunal and meet Sarevok Anchev. He’ll offer you to join the Bhaal, but if your goal is to get the Sword of Chaos, just start the fight. After successfully defeating Sarevok and his followers, you should go to the dead body of the boss and loot it. You’ll get many valuable items, one of which will be the long-awaited Sword of Chaos.

And, that’s it. Following our instructions, you should get the Sword of Chaos in Baldur’s Gate 3 without any difficulties.
