This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Warbond Medals aren’t just used to unlock capes and gestures, but it’s also the only way to get more weapons in Helldivers 2. While Stratagems are crucial for completing Operations, arming yourself with guns that fit your playstyle is important too. Gathering lots of them to unlock all Warbonds items isn’t exactly hard, but does take quite a lot of time. Nevertheless, there is one proven method to farm Medals that will ensure you get at least one Medal in 5 minutes or less.

Playing any Operation on Trivial difficulty is the best and fastest way to get more Medals in Helldivers 2. But if you need to choose, you can pick Destroy Automatons in red sectors or Bug Elimination against the Terminids.

Both Operations are really easy to finish and farm Helldivers 2 Medals even solo. For Destroy Automatons Operation, you’ll want to choose the Terminate Illegal Broadcast Mission. Land as close as possible to the objective area and destroy the vast radio tower using Orbital Bombardment or Eagle Airstrike Stratagem.

Meanwhile, for farming Helldivers 2 Medals with Bug Elimination the Mission is Eliminate Brood Commander, where you have to locate and kill the miniboss.

Call in a Machine Gun Stratagem, open your minimap, and look for the spot with the highest concentration of bugs in the Mission area. Once you find the Brood Commander near its underlings, just dump half a mag of the Machine Gun to finish it off. Of course, area-of-effect Stratagems work too but you can’t replicate scenes from Starship Troopers with them.

Sure, playing on Trivial difficulty in Helldivers 2 will only reward you with one Warbond Medal per run. But the Operation is done in less than 5 minutes and you’ll want to quickly scan your minimap for points of interest afterward. That way, you can get an additional one to three more Medals on your way to the Extraction Points.

Look for gray-colored squares for random buildings or bunkers on the map, they should contain Medals or even Super Credits. Oftentimes, you should be able to get 2 to 3 Common Samples around the Mission areas, points of interest, and Extraction Points as well.

Otherwise, you’ll want to complete any available Personal Order. Personal Orders are daily sub-missions that will reward you with 15 Medals every time you clear them. Check the Start menu and look to the bottom-right part of your screen to see what job Super Earth demands her loyal soldier to do. That’s pretty much it for the most effective way to farm Medals in Helldivers 2 at the moment.
