This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Thankfully, in Once Human, you can play with other friends to create bases, defend each other, and explore the map. This is extremely useful for defeating the strongest Deviants, assuming you have the necessary equipment to defeat these powerful foes. You can’t just defeat a giant Deviant with a rusty machete and a makeshift crossbow. For those who just joined the game and are falling behind, other Meta-Humans can help you. While you have to go through certain hoops, there are a few ways to transfer and give items to other players in Once Human.

How Do You Give Items To Other Players in Once Human?

So far, we haven’t found a function to transfer or give items to other players in Once Human. However, that doesn’t mean it is impossible. Like any other game in its beta stage, there’s always a workaround. You can transfer items by placing them in containers and giving other players permission to withdraw items from those containers. It takes some time, but it is a surefire way to share loot with others.

  • Small items (Wood, Plants, Berries, etc.)
To share these items, you need to access your inventory in Once Human, select the material you want to hand out to your teammate, and drag it out of the inventory to your avatar. When you exit the menu, it will automatically generate a bag of junk in front of you; the other player has to collect it. But you can also create a storage crate; from there, your teammates can take these items.
  • Gear and Armor
You cannot deliver these items from your inventory. Instead, you will need to create a storage unit specific to the type of item. To give away gear such as pants, bulletproof vests, or caps, you must create an Armor Storage Crate. For weapons, you need to place a Weapon Storage Crate or a Weapon Rack.

In both cases, you must ensure your friends have access if you want to give an item from any crate. To give other players access to your belongings, you have to follow these steps:

  • Open the menu and go to Social.
  • Search for your partner’s name.
  • Right-click on their profile; this will open a new window.
  • Change the Friends Permissions from Storage Privileges to Allow It.

With this, your friends or Hive members in Once Human can now access your crate and take any item they need. You must do this manually for each friend you want to grant access to, so it’ll be a bit daunting. Also, if anyone takes something you don’t want to give away, you can revoke their privileges at any moment.
