Prince William and Princess Catherine are preparing to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary. Per The Royal Observer, former royal butler Grant Harrold said to Spin Genie that William and Catherine will celebrate in private given the princess’ current health status. “With everything going on with Kate, that won’t be a public thing, that’s going to be very private. Behind closed doors, I’m sure William will work to make sure she’s spoiled,” Harrold said.
Harrold elaborated further on Prince William’s intentions for his wife. “It’s possible William might cook, he’s quite a good cook so it’s possible he might do a little meal or something. Again, it’s just going to be a private affair between the two of them,” he said. The royal expert added, “Once again, there’ll still be an exchange of gifts, I have no doubt they will give each other a gift, and I’ve no doubt they will exchange cards.”
Prince William and Princess Catherine’s Previous Anniversaries
The Prince and Princess of Wales aren’t ones to make regular public displays of affection, but they do celebrate their relationship milestones in private with touching gifts. In 2023, Princess Catherine reportedly gifted her husband a sketch she drew of an old picture of the couple. Back in 2021, sources speculated that Prince William honored their 10th anniversary with a new necklace for his wife.
The couple married on April 29, 2011 after an on-again, off-again romance that began after they met in college. The princess wore a white lace dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, and royals from around the world and celebrities such as Elton John and Guy Ritchie attended the ceremony. The couple now share three children together: Prince George, age 10; Princess Charlotte, age 8; and Prince Louis, age 6.
