Once you get to the late game in V Rising, the crafting materials will become increasingly rarer or more elusive. Such is the case for the Onyx Tear. It’s a late-game weapon crafting component; you’re going to need tons of it if you want to tackle the endgame bosses. However, there is one glaring Onyx Tear crafting component that the game won’t readily hand to you, the Blood Crystal. It’s one of the latest changes in V Rising 1.0. If you’re confused, allow me to help you where to find the Blood Crystal.

Blood Crystal or Blood Crystal ore nodes are tucked away in a new circular late-game area called Dracula’s Demise. You can find Dracula’s Demise North of Dunley Farmlands.

The area is near the border between Dunley Farmlands and the Gloomrot region. You’ll find Blood Crystals around Dracula’s Demise, near its outer rim.

It’s worth noting that Level 83 enemies populate the area. Additionally, there’s a boss in the center of Dracula’s Demise. It’s Lord Styx the Night Champion (which you can slay for Onyx Tears). You can also just track Lord Styx to get to Dracula’s Demise.

Thankfully, you don’t have to deal with these enemies over and over again if you need Blood Crystals in V Rising. There’s no need to kill enemies for Blood Crystal. If you’ve slayed Lord Styx, you can just change to Bat Form and fly over the area, skipping the fortified entrance.

Moreover, you can roam around Dracula’s Demise in Rat Form. So you can hide and just change to vampire form to mine Blood Crystals.

To get Blood Crystal, simply equip a Mace or just about any melee weapon and hit the ore node again and again.

Blood Crystal nodes have distinct reddish protrusions, making them easy to distinguish from regular Stone or metal ore nodes. Still, there are only a few of them all over Dracula’s Demise, so you’ll have to make them count.

The good news is that not many items in V Rising need Blood Crystal. It’s mostly just the Onyx Tear that requires them. But do keep in mind that the Onyx Tear is crucial for a lot of endgame structures and weapons.

V Rising is available on the PC and PlayStation platforms.
