Having a certain Saiyan on your team is no guarantee of victory in Anime Defenders Roblox. Sure, you could just buy your way to victory with a pile of Robux, but that’s boring and expensive. While a noob may understand the basics of this tower defense game, mastering it requires greater knowledge and commitment. Get ready for some Goku-level grinding. From Challenges and the Unit Index to piece placement and the economy, honing your skills takes work. Put in the time, however, and you’ll become a god of the battlefield. Here’s how to go from noob to tower defense master in Anime Defenders Roblox.
Grind With a Goal
Mastering the Gem trade grind is a vital part of Anime Defenders. Your FtP strategy will always depend in part upon which characters RNG blesses you with, but you still need to grind with a goal. Every master knows that Gems are the game’s most important currency, so you’ll want to take advantage of every opportunity to grind them. Here are a few ways you can get Gems:
- Story Missions – 30 per mission or 110 for first-time clear
- Infinite Mode – rewarded according to wave completion
- Quests – daily and weekly challenges
- AFK Zone – AFK for profit
- Challenges – smaller goals that refresh hourly
- Codes – punch them in and reap the rewards
- Raids – these reward Gems and also provide Raid Shards you can exchange for Gems in the Raid Shop
- Trading – Set up a booth and let the Gems roll in
- Tower of Eternity – rewards dependant upon progression
You’ll want to do all of the above to maximize your returns but find the combo that works for you. It’s easy to burn out before filling your locker with Secret and Mythic units. The Rift Sorcerer and The Pro Gamer can shape your entire strategy, but only if you stick around to get them. Don’t force yourself to play a mode you hate just for the Gems. The Chance King would not approve.
Pieces Over Placement (Sometimes)
In general, Anime Defenders is about pieces over placement. If you have the strongest units, you can make mistakes when placing them and still win. The game is less forgiving when you only have six Salamanders to defend you. You’ll want to push for the Cursed Knight, Slime Spirit Queen, and other high-tier units, but getting the rarest won’t make you the best.

How To Get Beast and Muscular Sorcerers in Anime Defenders Roblox (& Best Strategies To Use Them)Anime Defenders pros understand the value of placement. A sloppy line of random units will get you through Windmill Village just fine, but harder levels (and modes like Hall of Mirrors) demand more. There’s an optimal placement for every unit based on its cost, abilities, lane layout, and composition of incoming mobs. The biggest thing that separates noobs from pros is the ability to optimize in that way. Experiment with different configurations of farm units like Bloomer and Pink Rockstar to find that economic sweet spot. Tasty.
Lane Control, Spawn Killing, and Modes
Sometimes lane control matters even more than team composition. For example, spawn killing doesn’t have the same value in Infinite Mode (where enemies spawn forever) as it does in Story or Hall of Mirrors (where there’s a set number of waves). Pros in Anime Defenders understand the importance of centralizing AoE units to strike multiple lanes. They also know to lead with DoT and debuff units to maximize their returns. Even the placement of farm units can be a sensitive matter if you need to sell and move a unit on the fly. Reselling is already costly, so practice until you know how to avoid moving placed units.
Managing the Economy
Demon King (Peak) has a Deployment Cost of 1,500¥ and a Total Cost of 71,500¥. Compare that to The Pro Gamer (DP 2,000¥ and TC 55,500¥). Is a unit with a lower DP but higher TC worth it? As with most elements of your strategy, it depends. Your team composition matters as much as the map and mode when it comes to economy management, so blanket advice is often misleading.
Completing Challenges will reward you with Stars you can use to upgrade units. Unit upgrades and evolution form a core part of the end-game in Anime Defenders, so make sure you’ve put as much thought into getting Stars as you have your mid-match economy. Whether you’re solo grinding or teaming with friends, a healthy economy (with a well-timed farm unit) will help you obliterate most challenges in the game. It helps that it costs 0 Robux. Fight on, FtP soldiers.
