During Version 4.1, Genshin Impact significantly adjusted its Daily Commissions system. In this update, instead of having to complete the four Daily Missions, players could decide to do other tasks to “complete” them, such as opening chests, doing quests, completing events, or finding Oculi. This way, Travelers can earn up to four Encounter Points to claim their Daily Rewards. However, in Version 4.8, Genshin Impact added Long Term Encounter Points, but many people are having trouble understanding how to use or earn them. Get ready because you can save energy and still earn your Daily Rewards.
How to Earn Long Term Encounter Points in Genshin Impact
Long Term Encounter Points are a kind of energy that is different from Resin. They allow you to skip doing Daily Missions, but you must have enough points saved. Yet, you have to learn Genshin Impact’s trick on how to use Long Term Encounter Points.
- You can only start saving them until you have completed four Encounter Points, four Daily Missions, or a mixture of both; enough to claim your Daily Rewards for that day only.
- Once you have earned your rewards, you can continue exploring to find some chests, search for Oculi, or do quests as with normal Encounter Points.
After getting your Daily Rewards with Katheryne, this will add points to your Long Term Encounter Points.
Remember, you don’t get Long Term Encounter Points for fighting in Domains or with Bosses. You earn them until you complete the Dialy Commissions and do the extra tasks to get Encounter Points. An example of how to use Long Term Encounter Points in Genshin Impact is when you want to skip all your Daily Commissions for that day:
- First, you need to save at least four points (the purple ones at the bottom of the page).
- Then, make four Condensed Resins to spend 120 points of Original Resin.
- Return to your Guidebook. There, you will have completed your Encounter Points/Daily Commissions, but Long Term Encounter Points will be at zero.
- Then, you can go with Katheryn for your rewards.
This way, you can complete your Daily Commissions without defeating a horde of Hilichurls, delivering the food from the Good Hunter, or smashing any Slime Balloons.
