Demi Moore has a busy schedule promoting her latest movie The Substance. Accompanying her on the many talk show and red carpet appearances is her adorable Chihuahua, Pilaf. The small pup has become just as famous as her mom. But Pilaf isn’t the only fur baby in Moore’s life. The actress has a total of eight dogs in her home.
While having eight canines would be a hassle for any pet owner, the Ghost actress loves it. However, the same can’t be said for those closest to her.
According to In Touch Weekly, Moore’s pals are worried her obsession with her pets is getting out of hand.
The star has such a close bond with her dogs that she’s planning ahead for when they eventually pass.
A source tells the news outlet:
When her dogs go, she’ll save their ashes and keep them in a safe place until the time when they can be mixed with her own, which won’t be for a long while, of course.
Pilaf and the rest of her canine siblings will remain connected to their mom even after they pass.
”Her dogs never leave her side, especially Pilaf, even in the afterlife!” The source explained. “Still, she has firm instructions that they’re to be buried with her, all of them.”

Like many pet owners, Moore’s behavior is scrutinized for being too eccentric. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Demi revealed to Jimmy Fallon that her dogs sleep with her. While it’s common for owners to share a bed with their dog, the actress has a unique routine for getting everyone settled in.
“I have to prop pillows so the ones that are this size have the ability to get under the covers,” she explained while demonstrating the routine. “I have two beds for the little ones so that they have the beds within the beds.“
While Moore doesn’t see anything wrong with her bond with her pups, some people are uneasy with it.
It’s bad enough that Demi lets her dogs sleep with her in her bed and she’s got pee pads all over the house that reek, but now she’s talking about buying a plot for her and her dogs and it’s got people kind of grossed out.
Although her friends disagree with her plans, the source says that “Demi thinks it’s a beautiful idea.“
Like any dog mom, Demi Moore has a special relationship with her dogs and loves to spoil them. Even though some people disagree with her methods, the main thing is that both she and her pups are happy.
