Diablo 4 Season 6 is upon us and you know what that means: new mechanics! This time around, it’s the Season of Hatred Rising and you get a chance to receive some hateful rewards such as the Seething Opals. Since they also count as Elixirs, they can be finite, so you’d want to hoard as many as you can to make your Season 6 gameplay more enhanced. Here’s how to farm and use Seething Opal rewards in Diablo 4 Season 6.
Types of Seething Opal in D4 Season 6
Note that these Seething Opals are available for even those who don’t have the Vessel of Hatred expansion. Seething Opals are essentially more powerful Elixirs that modify your luck and grind in the game. You can access them from the Consumables tab of the Inventory.
Like Elixirs, they sadly only last for 30 minutes, meaning you have to make them count (though tough luck if you get disconnected while under the effects of an Exilir). In any case, here are the kinds of Seething Opals in Diablo 4 Season 6:
Seething Opal Type | Effect (on top of +15% increased Experience) |
Seething Opal of Equipment | Enemies drop more Equipment |
Seething Opal of Gold | Enemies drop more Gold |
Seething Opal of Materials | Enemies drop more Herbs/Crafting Materials |
Seething Opal of Socketables | Enemies drop more Gem Fragments/Runes |
Seething Opal of Torment | Enemies drop more Artificier’s Stones/Boss Summoning Items/Infernal Compass |
Each one has a different benefit for more focused farming; but like Elixirs, you can only use one Seething Opal at a time. Additionally, some Seething Opals, such as Socketables and Torment are only available in higher Diablo 4 difficulties.
Where to Get & Farm Seething Opal
Seething Opal is available only in the new Hatred Rising event that pops up on the map every 15 minutes. It’s somewhat straightforward as all you have to do is kill stuff while following a giant Realmwalker and enter a mini-dungeon called the Seething Realm afterward.
The event will reward you with a Seething Opal or multiple if you complete the Seething Realm. That’s why it’s important to bring a class or build that can clear dungeons fast and move fast as well. Here are my recommendations:
- Lightning Spear Sorcerer
- Ranged Rogue build
- Eagle Spiritborn
If you have the Vessel of Hatred expansion, you might get access to two Hatred Rising events at a time– one in the main regions and one in Nahantu depending on your luck or chance. So if you complete the first one quickly, you’ll be able to clear the second Hatred Rising event (assuming you can reach it). That nets you double the Seething Opal reward.
Of course, don’t waste those Seething Opals once you’ve used them. Grind away fast and hard for 30 minutes.
