Two factions face each other in the banners of Zenless Zone Zero. In one corner, we have Hollow Special Operations Section 6 with Yanagi; in the other, we have Sons of Calydon with Lighter. Both are the champions of each faction with incredible abilities, but each is better suited to specific situations. Zenless Zone Zero players should analyze in depth how helpful these Agents from the 1.3 banners will be, especially considering the characters you already have. Although many are already anxiously waiting to get the waifu of this update.

Phase 1

Yanagi will arrive in the phase 1 banner of Zenless Zone Zero 1.3. This Anomaly Agent works perfectly to inflict Disorder on enemies. Even though she has a particular ability, she can get one type of Disorder by herself using only her Basic attacks. Then, she can inflict another Disorder of another Attribute by changing character without deleting the first one. So Yanagi is perfect to be accompanied by other Anomaly characters, mainly by Burnice.

The best rotation is first to use Burnice, as she excels as an off-field character, only to apply Burn; then, Quick Swap with Yanagi to use her EX. Yanagi needs more time in the field, especially to get Anomaly build-up. That’s why Jane Doe is not an ideal character for Yanagi. You must also take into account that Yanagi needs more S-Rank partners, so she needs a lot of money and time investment. Also in her banner are Anby and Billy, which is good for improving their cinemas but not ideal for the actual meta.

Phase 2

Lighter will be the S-Rank Agent for phase 2, and he is an Attribute Fire Agent who focuses on Stun. He will have a similar mechanic to the Passion or Nitro-Fuel Cocktail State, in which Lighert fills his bar to make a combo of melee attacks. His attacks in this state provide buffs to the party and reduce the Fire Resistance of the enemies. In addition to improving his impact, it makes it easier to stun enemies. Lighter needs more time on the field to keep hitting enemies and improve his Daze.

Unlike Yanagi, Lighter has even more options for teammates, including more A-Rank characters. For him, first, consider his companions from Sons of Calydon or an Attack character; this way, you will get to buff his Fire DMG and, oddly enough, Ice DMG. Therefore, Lighter is also perfect for accompanying characters like Soldier 11 or Ellen Joe. Although his banner partners, Corin and Ben, can adapt well to him, there are better teammates than these two.

Lighter is a good Stun character, especially if you don’t have Lycaon in your roster; besides, his buffs are very handy. However, if you don’t have a DPS that excels in the Zenless Zone Zero meta, Yanagi is a better Agent in the Version 1.3 banners. Remember that if he can clear the stages without problems or you like the design of a particular character, you can always go for your favorite.
