The expectations don’t seem to stop for Sony and PlayStation. Right now, the new big thing that PlayStation owners and fans expect from Sony is a grand 30th Anniversary PlayStation reveal, and they’re convinced that it will happen next week thanks to several telltale signs. Meanwhile, Sony is keeping the details light.

Granted, Sony has already created a webpage for the PlayStation 1 that includes some of the most important milestones of the very first PlayStation console. The PS1 was notably released on December 3, 1994. That’s why many PlayStation fans expect an important stream from Sony on December 3, 2024, as part of the 30th Anniversary of PlayStation.

As for what kind of stream or reveal it is from Sony, some are hopeful that it will have something to do with remakes or remasters, namely either Bloodborne or the rumored God of War trilogy. Some assumed signs even support these fan expectations.

The Signs, Read the Signs

For Bloodborne, the biggest “indicator” was apparently the server maintenance scheduled for December 3, 2024. That’s the same date as the PS1’s 30th Anniversary. Suggestions immediately pointed to an excited Bloodborne remake or remaster (and perhaps even a PC version, one can hope).

As for the God of War trilogy remake or remaster, it’s an old rumor at this point because Christopher Judge (Kratos’ voice actor for the reboot) hinted something is coming soon. So now, Sony and PlayStation fans think the company is planning something big for its 30th Anniversary.

As exciting as it sounds, however, none of these expectations are confirmed or further substantiated;ย they’reย mostly fueledby wishful thinking. For all we know, theย Bloodborneย remake/remaster might not be happening, and it’s justย a regularserver maintenance, and theย God of Warย trilogy remake/remaster could take longer.

Still, December 3, 2024, is close by and all shall be revealed in Sony’s PlayStation stream or event.
