Super Earth defenders might be getting even more good news in an unexpected double whammy after the Illuminate surprise update. According to recent leaks, Helldivers 2 is getting a Killzone crossover, adding Helghast-inspired Warbond into the bug-squashing game. Called the Righteous Revenant Warbond, it adds two armor sets, three capes, three firearms, and three Stratagems.

First, let’s take a peek at what the new armors have to offer. As one can expect, the popular gas mask with glowing red eyes armor makes the cut.

  • AC-1 DUTIFUL: The standard issue Helghan infantry gear, Medium Armor.
  • AC-2 OBEDIENT: The hooded sniper armor, is listed as a Light Armor.

Both armors are armed with the Acclimated Perk, giving +50% resistance against all elemental damage. This is very useful for when the Illuminate returns as they often strike with electric attacks. For the capes, one is adorned with a Helghast triad logo clad in red and black. Another one is in white and red, with the description referring to the series’ Geneva Convention, the Stockholm Treaty.

For the weapons, Arrowhead Studios picked three iconic firearms from the so-called ‘Halo killer’ FPS:

  • StA-52 Assault Rifle: Light armor penetration.
    • Damage: 070.
    • Capacity: 056.
    • Recoil: 019.
    • Fire Rate: 790.
  • StA-11 SMG: Light armor penetration, single-handed.
    • Damage: 065.
    • Capacity: 048.
    • Recoil: 013.
    • Fire Rate: 1050.

  • PLAS-39 Acceleration Rifle: Burst sniper rifle, medium armor penetration, explosive ammo.
    • Damage: 350.
    • Capacity: 009.
    • Recoil: 003.
    • Fire Rate: 550.

But, that’s not all, as mentioned above, the Helldivers 2 Killzone Warbond also brought three additional Stratagems.

The first one is the Sta-X3 W.A.S.P., a powerful minigun that can be turned into a mortar mode. It will automatically lock on to the nearest target– regardless of whether they’re actually enemies of Super Earth. Then there’s also the E/GL-21 Grenadier Battlement which summons a ballistic cover with a mounted grenade launcher. Lastly, it’s the E/M-105 Defense Wall, a stationary cover that comes with a machine gun which is perfect for mowing down bugs and bots.

Unsurprisingly, the fan reactions are wild regarding the Helldivers 2 Killzone Warbond. Many cannot wait to don their Helghast armor and cape. However, rumors said this update is coming around March 2025 at the earliest. For now, we just have to go back to defend the Super Earth against Terminids and Automatons until the Warbond — and Illuminate — comes.
