Leonardo DiCaprio is on a short list of celebrities who have never been married. Despite being “happy” with his 26-year-old model girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, he isn’t considering marriage. A source close to the award-winning actor said that there’s no chance of DiCaprio and Ceretti tying the knot.
Leonardo DiCaprio Won’t Be Getting Married Anytime Soon
The source told Page Six that DiCaprio “doesn’t see himself ever getting married.” Things are going well between him and Ceretti, but ultimately, the 50-year-old actor is “happy with where things are at between them.” The insider continued, “Leo doesn’t feel the need to tie the knot to make things official in his eyes.”
An eligible bachelor like Leonardo DiCaprio has had his fair share of women throwing themselves at him. While he’s happy with Vittoria Ceretti, he doesn’t see himself as a husband.
The couple met at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. They started dating about one month before her divorce from DJ Matteo Milleri was finalized.
Details about DiCaprio’s views on marriage come after rumors that he and Ceretti would be walking down the aisle soon. Fans thought this was the case for two reasons. First, Ceretti had a massive diamond ring on her hand. She’s also been the first woman DiCaprio has dated in recent history over the age of 25.
DiCaprio’s Love Life is a Joke to Many
Apparently, Leonardo DiCaprio hasn’t ever been bothered about people putting his love life under the microscope.
“I got into this industry at a very young age. I felt incredibly compelled to do this,” he said. His first role was at age five on Romper Room.
“So since then, a lot of other stuff comes hand in hand with that. The complete loss of your private life,” DiCaprio continued. “And you know what, a lot of people have to deal with a lot harsher things than having their private life be public knowledge. That’s just one of the byproducts.”
In recent years, DiCaprio’s dating history has become somewhat of a joke. He has had flings with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and Gisele Bündchen. None of them led to DiCaprio entertaining the idea of getting married.
The perpetual bachelor has notoriously only dated women 25 and under, with many people questioning his reasoning behind this. On Twitter, fans went wild thinking that DiCaprio was finally settling down.
“He hit 50 and realized that it was finally time to settle down. lol,” one person wrote. Another joked, “Oh my god??? He’s making a life long commitment to someone over 25????”
It was later revealed that the ring was something Vittoria Ceretti had for a couple of years. Leonardo DiCaprio had not, in fact, popped the question. He has no plans to do so either.
