The Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama continues to heat up. After Baldoni accused Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, of mocking him in last year’s Deadpool and Wolverine movie, new information about the Marvel star has allegedly come to light that has fans questioning his ‘nice guy’ reputation even more. Apart from Cadance Owens claiming Reynolds started the whole It Ends With Us fiasco, a resurfaced video reveals that one of his Deadpool co-stars previously accused him of being “horrifically mean” on set.
The Drama Behind ‘Deadpool 2’
That’s right. Things aren’t looking good for Ryan Reynolds as his controversies pile up. The latest criticism towards the Canadian actor is all due to a resurfaced video from the Adam Corolla Show. In the viral clip, Deadpool star T.J. Miller made an appearance to discuss his negative experience working with Reynolds. He said he once got a weird vibe from his co-star during the filming for the second movie. Miller claimed he noticed a change in Reynolds for the sequel and suggested it was because of the actor’s newfound fame following the success of the first Deadpool film.
When they reunited, Miller said he felt awkward tension between them. “We had a really weird moment, really weird moment,” he said. Apparently, it involved an incident where Reynolds improvised a line and used his Deadpool persona to mock Miller. “As the character, he was horifically mean to me,” the comedian said. “But to me, as if I’m Weasel.”
Although the Deadpool character is known for always cracking jokes, Miller thinks Reynolds went too far by mixing fiction with reality. “He was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny and then we can leave and get back to the real movie,'” Miller recalled of one of their conversations.
Miller didn’t say anything to Reynolds about his comments since he was so stunned. After he walked off set, the comedian noticed that he wasn’t the only one left speechless. Apparently, “the whole crew” felt a “weird” vibe, too.
Is Ryan Reynolds Really A Villain?
The T.J. Miller interview resurfaced just shortly after Candace Owens also painted Reynolds in a negative light. On Wednesday, Jan. 24, the political commentator revealed on Instagram that she got an interesting “tip” about the actor from someone who allegedly worked on the set of It Ends With Us. “Lately everyone is bashing Blake Lively, but apparently the true villain in this saga is … Ryan Reynolds,” Owens wrote on her Story.
Owens said the source claimed that the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama started when Reynolds visited his wife on set and “something set him off.” The incident apparently caused the couple to get into an argument. Afterward, Reynolds allegedly tried to get the WME talent agency to drop Baldoni. Although the insider didn’t tell Owens exactly what caused Reynolds to be upset with the actor, she theorized it was due to him being “grossly insecure.”
While the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni drama has been a huge rollercoaster, it’s nowhere close to being done. According to The Independent, the pair will go to trial over Lively’s lawsuit in March 2026.
So, if you’ve been keeping up, buckle up because there’s still more to come.
