Jimmy Kimmel is coming for Donald Trump‘s head on behalf of Taylor Swift. The late-night host took jabs at the commander-in-chief for mocking the global popstar, who was booed during the Super Bowl game.
On Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host slammed Trump’s post, which mocked Swift’s embarrassing moment with Philadelphia Eagles fans. When the Shake It Out singer appeared on the Caesars Superdome jumbotron, they booed heavily. In response to the incident, the Republican took to Truth Social to write:
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving.”
However, Trump’s statement wasn’t entirely accurate. Kimmel was quick to point it out harshly, calling him “Harry Conman Senior” before adding:
“Well, she didn’t get booed out of the stadium. Unlike you, she stayed for the whole game, and it was the Eagles fans who were booing her. But you’re right. It’s all about you. It’s always all about you.
The 57-year-old continued, joking that Trump was “jealous of Taylor Swift because she has more followers and more money and no kids.” It is no news that the world leader is not a fan of Swift, who endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 elections. He often takes jabs at the pop singer, but she rarely gives a response.
Swifties Praise Jimmy Kimmel, Tear Into President Trump
Although Kimmel’s monologue was his usual dose of tackling the president, his defense endeared him to the hearts of Swifties. The obsessive fanbase took to X to shower praise on the award host on behalf of Swift.
“This is A REAL man in the world. Unlike grown-ass men at football games,” one fan gushed.
“At least she fills up stadiums, unlike Trump, who has to show up at an event not for him to get likes,” an angry Swiftie wrote.
“She got booed at her boyfriend’s football game, and he got shot at his own rally. So where’s the drag?” questioned this user.
“Jimmy Kimmel called it: Trump’s just jealous of Taylor Swift’s influence and success. She’s out here making waves with her fans, not coup attempts,” a similar remark read.
Unfortunately, the boos from the crowds weren’t the only L Swift took during the game. Her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s team also lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in a 22-40 defeat. Before the game, Trump, in an interview, rooted for the Kansas City Chiefs, citing Patrick and Brittany Mahomes as the inspiration. Clearly, his support couldn’t get them the enviable first-ever Super Bowl three-peat.
