Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco had quite the ‘cheesy’ holiday. In his latest Instagram post, the musician shared a video showing off his unconventional Valentine’s Day gift for Gomez. The clip shows Blanco following a trail of nacho chips leading to the pair’s bathroom. Inside, was a message written in chips that read, “I ♡ You,” beside a bathtub full of nacho cheese. Blanco wasted no time giving it a taste by grabbing a chip and dipping it into the tub. “when your fiancé isnt much of a flowers girl,” he captioned his post.
Benny Blanco’s Valentine’s Day gift for Selena Gomez received a mixed reaction from the internet. Some fans called it “iconic” and even thought it was a perfect gift for a “foodie” like Gomez. “A man who’s very attentive and understands his woman’s love language,” read one comment praising the record producer. Twilight actor Taylor Lautner even found it amusing by reacting with a set of laughing emojis.
Unfortunately, not everyone saw the humor in it. Many fans called Blanco’s gift “gross” and “disgusting” since they wouldn’t think of actually using it. They also thought it would be a huge mess to clean up. They expressed sympathy for the “plumber” and “cleaning staff” having to deal with the aftermath. “The cleaning of this will be a pain,” one fan wrote. On top of that, Benny Blanco received criticism for wasting food since it was unlikely he and Gomez would finish all the cheese.
While the internet is split on Gomez’s gift, the actress found no problem with it. In fact, she thought it was the perfect Valentine’s Day surprise. “I love everything bout this.. 🥰,” she commented underneath Blanco’s post.

The gesture comes just two months after Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco announced their engagement. In December, the couple shared the exciting news by posting a close-up of Gomez’s ring on Instagram. Fans noticed it featured a marquise-shaped diamond stone and thought it could be a nod to Gomez’s single “Good For You,” which features a lyric about a marquise diamond. “forever begins now..,” the singer captioned the photo.
The pair got engaged a little over a year after they started dating sometime in mid-2023. While there’s still so much fans don’t know about their relationship, it seems like Gomez and Blanco will give everyone a glimpse into their love story with the release of their upcoming album. On March 21, they’ll release a collaborative record titled, I Said I Love You First.
